Cut It Out.

I wanted to share a new dress I picked up for Summer and guess what?  It was just reduced and is now 40% off!  ALC is one of my all time favorite brands.  Their pieces are so wearable and versatile.
This dress is great causal like I am wearing it or you can easily dress it up with heels for a night out.
I like the slight cut-out detail, it doesn't show too much skin.

I am a huge fan of white and black, always so classic.
My bracelets are handmade here in Charleston by Christina Jervey, she is super talented.

This Claire V Clutch is a favorite of mine.  The leather is so soft and I love the fold-over style.
This rose gold fold-over clutch in the same style was just reduced.

Awkward stance but I wanted you to see the slight split in the front of the dress.  It is fully lined to above the knee so not see through all.

Tassel Love.  I am pretty sure I will never tire of tassels.  These shoes also come in gold, yellow and red. Plus they aren't crazy expensive.  And trust me they are comfortable!

These TB hoops are great for everyday.  I have the rose gold and wear them often.
Also wanted to mention my lip color, it is the Smashbox Electric Pink I mentioned a few weeks ago. This gives you an idea of what it looks like on.

The back view,  and great part is you can still wear a regular bra with this dress.  The dress runs TTS,  I am in a size small.

You can shop my whole look below.

Asian Chopped Salad with Roasted Shrimp

I love a chopped salad.  I frequently dream about new combinations for chopped salads.  Something about everything being chopped so finely so that you get a bite of each ingredient makes chopped salads a winner.  This salad is a hodge podge of recipes I found online trying to recreate my favorite salad at Leon's Oyster Shop, the Siam Salad.  If you ever eat at Leon's try the Siam Salad it is incredible.

This salad is a bit different but has several of the same components like crunchy cabbage and lots of fresh herbs.  It is not heavy at all and the perfect light Summer Salad.  This is a great make ahead meal.  The chopped salad gets better the longer it sits.  I actually made the salad and roasted the shrimp earlier in the day since we had soccer practice.  It was easy to come home and it all was ready. We enjoyed it slightly chilled but you could reheat your shrimp if you prefer.

I usually saute our shrimp but for this recipe I roasted them and they turned out great.  You could also serve this with shredded chicken if you prefer.  I added in the Ramen for a bit of crunch but the Ramen does get soggy (still good) the longer the salad sits, so you could omit the Ramen if you want.  The flavors in this are so fresh and vibrant and both kids loved it which is always an added bonus.
Enjoy!

Love Your Mama.

Mother's Day is less than two weeks away.  Being a Mom now myself, this holiday holds double meaning for me.  A great time to thank my mom for all she has done for me and taught me and a time to be grateful I am a mom and blessed with two beautiful children.  Sterling has been so funny and everyday asks me if I want my Mother's Day card yet.  Apparently he and Matt are on the ball this year.  I keep telling him to wait and save it for Mother's Day but he is so anxious to give it to me, which is so stinking sweet.   Below are just a few gift ideas.  Some of these items I own and some are on my wishlist.

Gigi New York is Offering free personalization on all orders plus a free gift with orders over $100.
They knocked the Spring Collection out of the park, so many fabulous bags.
I took this blue beauty to Dallas and carried it everyday.

A few other smaller favorites from Gigi. The new Iphone6 case is really awesome.  It is a wallet and then has a removable phone case inside that matches- pure genius.

It is no secret I love a good one piece.  Strapless is always a favorite because no tan lines.  This one looks super flattering and I love the hot pink.

I always love cute workout clothes.  These come in 3 different colors and offer the Dri-fit technology.

Perfect little everyday studs.

I own this maxi in two solid colors but adore this print.  Under $100 too.

You can't go wrong with a white blouse.  I really like the lace detail and feminine feel of this blouse.

I am a huge fan of turkish towels, they are so fun.  They can be personalized and come in so many pretty colors.

Hands down my favorite candle scent.  This will make your house smell wonderful.

I just ordered these after seeing my friend Ashley wear them all weekend.  They look amazing on, and would make a great gift.  I went with the blush pink color, but also love the blue and green.

I don't personally use a fitbit but I sure would love to have one.  I like the Tory Burch one because it looks like jewelry.
This is one of my favorite perfumes.  It smells amazing plus the bottle is gorgeous.  The smaller travel size is always nice to keep in your purse for touch-ups.

These beauties are under $100.  I love the stones and nude color.

I am a sucker for a palm print.  My mom and I both always love cover-ups from JCrew.  This one is super cute and 30% off.  Use code SALETHERAPY

I think it is sweet to give frames with pictures of loved ones.  I know my parents love getting pictures of my kids.  I love the malachite look of these frames and really like all 3 colors.

My mom actually mentioned she wanted some Tata Harper products after hearing me rave about them.  This starter kit is a great way to try all her products and the sample sizes are a decent size.  My favorite product though is the mask
If you spend $250 you do get a gift.

Life Lately.

Happy Monday Friends.  Sorry for the lack of post Friday but I was traveling and could not get my act together beforehand between packing and taking care of my kids.  Life has been busy lately in a good way:)  Get ready for picture overload today.

I finally tried the Butcher and Bee house salad last week and it was so delicious.  Local friends check it out!  I paired it with a side of their homemade hummus which is always so good.

I stopped in my favorite entertaining store Open Door Shop last week and was in terrafirma heaven.  These serving pieces are my favorites.  They are dishwasher safe and I love all the fun patterns. You probably recognize them from some of my recipe posts.

Sweet Frances Moon has become obsessed with showing off her belly.  Every time we ask her to smile for a picture she shows her belly.  This could be a bad thing in 15 years....

New favorite outfit on repeat. I wore it 3 times last week.

I stopped in Old Navy this week to return a few things and found these fabulous shoes.
Sold out online so check your stores!

One of the things I love most about Sterling is his honesty. He recently told me " Mom I love you, but when you put me in time out I love you a lot less."
This is his best attempt at Blue Steel ( and how excited are we for Zoolander 2??)

Thursday I headed to Dallas for a blogger conference.  I flew out with my girl Caycee.
I got brave towards the end of the flight and looked out the window.  The layers and layers of clouds were just gorgeous.

This was my second year going to Dallas for the Reward Style Conference and it is always a fabulous weekend.  Best part is meeting up with friends from across the US that we only get to see once a year.
Night one was a roof top pool party.

Saturday was filled with meetings during the day.
I carried this purse all weekend and starting today Gigi New York is offering free personalization for Mothers Day:)
Lunch with my mommy blogger friends
Carly, Sheaffer, Cassie, Courtney, Caycee and Megan.

Friday night was a fun party at the eye garden (minus the torrential rain)

Saturday we got lucky enough to spend some time at the pool.  After pouring rain for two days it was welcome.  This was my favorite day because I was able to relax and have lots fun girl talk by the pool.

Finally got the chance to wear my black one piece.
I apparently need to find a good two piece though because I was the only one in a one piece!

That night RS hosted a fabulous party at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.  It was such a cool idea to host a party here.
Complete with fireworks!

I have been loving all of Mara Hoffman's fun prints for Summer so I wore one of her maxi dresses that night.

The best part of the weekend is always connecting with blogger friends.  Courtney and I have emailed and been friends for years and finally got to meet in person and that was such a treat.  She is stunning in person and has a heart of gold.

I came home to a girl who used to be Mama's girl and now is all about Daddy.  Not gonna lie it hurt my feelings a bit but made me super happy they bonded.

Nothing better than coming home to these sweet faces.  I know time apart is good but man did I miss them.

You can shop some of my favorite pieces from the weekend below.

Peace.
