NDM Style: Lily Jade

Happy Humpday peeps. I will be back with a recipe tomorrow,  coming at you with a new outfit post today.  This is a record, I have done an outfit post at least once a week.  I can't give Matt credit for all my pictures though my girl Caycee helped me out with these. We had good intentions of taking pictures outside, but then old man winter showed up again and it was way too cold to be outside so they are inside (and excuse the hair I haven't been into washing it lately). But dirty hair or not this is one of my favorite outfits as of lately.

I am wearing the Rag and Bone Long Sleeve Giada Tee- I have worn it 4 times the past week, I am sure Matt is sick of it.  It is great with jeans, work out pants,  you name it.  It is made of the softest cotton and feels amazing on.  It runs on the large side.  I am wearing a small and might could have fit in an XS but I prefer my tops loose and slouchy (helps hid the muffin top).  So order accordingly.

The people at Lily Jade were sweet enough to send me this purse.  It is actually a Diaper Bag but it looks like a regular purse, right??  I was sold immediately.  I am not a fan of traditional diaper bags but one that looks like a real purse with all the conveniences of a diaper bag- sign me up!  It is made of the softest, most gorgeous leather.   I love that you can carry it as a Cross Body or with the handles.  When I have both kids with me I find a Cross Body is so much easier because it frees up your hands to deal with unruly kids:)

The purse also comes in black and red.  I almost got the black but loved the cognac color too much and thought it would be better for Spring.  It is on the pricey side- retails for $320 but it is currently on sale for $250!  Not a bad price considering the longevity of the bag.  I see myself carrying this for awhile!

The inside of the purse is what I love most.  From the outside it looks like a chic purse but open it up and it has pockets and compartments for all your baby stuff!  It even comes with a changing mat for your baby.   Pure genius right?   Sterling gets a few pockets, Frances gets a few pockets and I get the middle for my stuff!  The baby organizer part is detachable so when your kids are older you can pull it out and just have an open regular purse.

Such a sleek Diaper Bag, right??
While I was pregnant I ordered these MOTHER jeans during a Shopbop sale, having no idea if they would fit or if I would like them but I had heard nothing but amazing things abut them.  Turns out I freaking love them and best part they run big so you can wear one size down from what you normally do.  Its the little things that make me happy.  They have lots of stretch and are super comfy.  A great pair of jeans.

Shoes are the Chinese Laundry D'Orsay Flats.  They are cheap, comfortable and overall awesome.  I have two pairs of them, love them that much!

Also rocking my new favorite Theodisa Earrings.
They go with everything!

And one more  full outfit view.  Bam.  Happy Humpday.

xoxo

Shopbop New Markdowns!

Its a miracle both my kids are napping at the same time.  There is silence in my house and that never happens!  It gave me time to browse the new Shopbop markdowns, some great stuff is on sale.  you better believe I am snagging the Leopard Equipment Blouse I have been eyeing!  Shop the whole sale here!
My favorite picks below!

Obsessions

I need these sandals basically because they were named after our family but also because they are only $65!  A great price for a classic summer sandal. Available in black and tan.

This has my name written all over it.  Love the blue and pink stripes.  Such a great everyday dress.

I have been smitten with gold serving ware lately.  I adore these gold cheese knives and they are on sale for $23!!  These would make a great hostess gift too.

I tried this tank on and fell in love with it at Hamdpen of course my size was sold out so I stalked it online.  It is made of the softest material and I just love the back!  Rag and Bone never disappoints.

Another fabulous sandal from Splendid.  You cant beat the price!  Love the strawberry red color. They also come in black!

If you are looking for the most comfortable sweatshirt look no further. It is uber soft inside and super affordable.  Trust me you won't want to take it off.  This one from La Senorita Jolie is my new favorite.  I am in it all the time.  So my friend Brooke looks way better in it than me, but I included my pic too so you can see the Wheat color that I am wearing.  Use code LSJ-DBDD for free shipping on all your orders!
This long sleeve tee is another of my LSJ favorites.  It s awesome for a longer tee and so soft!

I have been seeing these Gap Jean Shorts everywhere.  They look like all the expensive ones but for a fraction of the cost. Love the lighter wash and cuff. I def want to order a pair any tips on how Gap shorts run size wise?

I have been on the hunt for a light weight striped sweater to wear with my white jeans this spring and this one is perfect.

I am a sucker for a cute tote.  Now that I have kids I use totes all the time.  Love this fun spin on the Transport Tote.  The navy and white stripes are so classic.

This is such a steal for Alexis Bittar.  You get both the earrings and necklace for $100.  I love the black but it also comes in blue and clear.  Such great everyday pieces.

Lets Talk About Shapewear: My Top 7 Pieces

As anyone knows who has had a baby it is all smoke and mirrors the first few months to hide the flab and look good.  I am a HUGE fan of shapewear, I have a drawer filled with Spanx that I wear often.  I thought I would share my top 7 favorite shapewear items and hope you will fill me in on your favorites!

This is probably my most favorite shapewear piece and the one I wear most often.  I wear it under almost all my dresses especially the thin tee shirt and silk ones.  It sucks you in like no other.  I have a size small, you want it fitted not loose so order accordingly.  This is such a great slip.

I know these probably seem Granny to you but they are awesome under formal dresses and skirts.  They smooth out any love handles.  I bought these before my wedding to wear to our Rehearsal Dinner and have been using them ever since.

These camis are great to wear under blouses, tee shirts, anything you don't want to have a bulge sticking out.  My mom swears by these too and wears them daily.

The best tights ever for a sleek sucked in look.  I have these in black and love them.  The only tights you need!  It is worth investing in one nice pair of black tights.

For when you need a lighter weight slip with spaghetti straps this one is awesome.

I don't wear this one as often as the tank versions but it is really nice to have on hand when you have a strapless dress to wear.  Back when we used to have alot of weddings and events to attend I wore this one all the time.

I have sung the praises of these leggings many times but had to include them on this list because I lived in them post baby.  I swear I think they helped my stomach flatten back up quicker because they kept everything sucked in.  What I like is that they have a band at the waist that keeps everything tight and smooth.  I had the full length version but sadly it looks like they are sold out on most sites.  But I did see they just came out in this Capri version- I am definitely getting these for this Spring,  Also available in different colors here.

Mommy Somebody Needs You

I read this piece over the weekend and it really resonated with me.   Like it had me crying and I have been thinking about it ever since.  I think since there is a chance Frances may be my last baby, I am holding her a little tighter, savouring the late night feedings and enjoying every little second with her because I know she and Sterling will be grown in the blink of an eye.  Don't even get me started on the fact that Sterling starts kindergarten in a year- time needs to slow down.

Go Read the Article " Mommy Somebody Needs You." HERE.

You might be crying afterwards but I promise it will make you hug your babies a little tighter and relish in this crazy but wonderful time with young children.
