Pretty In Pink | Valentine's Day

Today I wanted to share some ideas for Valentine's day.

First of all I want to share this adorable gift box designed by my friend Karina at Waffles and Honey.   I just love all her jewelry.  This would make such a great Valentine's gift and is under $100.  The box comes with the choice of 3 different gemstones for the necklace.  It also includes macaroons, a candle, matches, and a candy rock pop.  Tomorrow (the 8th) is the last day to order for guaranteed Valentine's delivery and don't forget to refrigerate the cookies when your box arrives.  Or if you have kids rest assured they will devour the cookies before you can get your hands on them:)
This makes such a sweet gift for a mom, sister or friend.

A few other beauties in pink.

I adore this and the hot pink color.

I am highly considering this for St John.  Also comes in a blue version.

This is such a fun romantic blouse.  It is the perfect shade of pink.

I love the style and fit of this dress.  Easy to dress up or down.

This is a steal under $50.  Also comes in navy.  I love the idea of this paired with white jeans and wedges.

This set is adorable and under $55.

This is under $40 and comes in several colors.

I shared this dress a few weeks ago and it would be perfect for Valentine's Day.  I recently wore mine to church.

This looks so cozy.

I own this tee and in the white and love it.  I am tempted to snag this blush color as well.

These come in several colors.  The perfect nude wedge for Spring.

I am obsessed with these sunglasses and they are under $50.
The best pumps and they come in so many color options.  I like them because the heel is not crazy high.
I love anything with tassels.

This is such a fun tote for Spring. I love the color palette.
Beauty Counter lipgloss is my favorite.  I have been using new shade called coralbell lately and it is such a great everyday pink.
They also have the cutest set for Valentine's day. It includes the lip sheer in rose (my favorite color) and blush.  This retails for $70 but you can get the set for $52.

Scenes From Our Weekend

Started the weekend off right with some cardio and leg weights.  This tank + leggings + shoes are on constant repeat.

Friday I hit up Xao Bao Biscuit for lunch.  I love that place so much.
The cabbage pancake is always a must and we also shared the black bean encrusted chicken.

Frances Moon was ready for the weekend in style.
Friday night I headed out to dinner with some girlfriends at O-Ku.
What I wore:

We stopped at The Macintosh for a drink for first.  They make a martini with pimento cheese and bacon stuffed olives and it is so good!!

Saturday the kids and I took a road trip to Wilmington to see some family.  I was comfy and casual for the drive.  This sweatshirt dress is so soft and my scarf is only $25.  I am wearing a XS in the dress it runs on the large side.

The kids had never stayed in a hotel before and they were just a little bit excited.

Thanks for all the dinner recs in Wilmington we tried to get in Las Olas and Tower 7 but the wait was almost an hour and we didn't want to do that with the kids.  We stumbled upon Blue Surf Cafe and it was perfect.  Kid friendly and the food was really good!  We loved the pimento cheese and bacon chips.

Enjoying a glass of wine at our hotel after dinner.

The boys chilling at my aunt's house.
Frances is always a little left out when Sterling and Finley get together.  I love her gazing from the background.

Sunday calls for lipgloss:)

Realized that I may have a bit of a leopard obsession.
These bags are the best for travel and I can't tell you often I wear this leopard dress.
Here is a look at the dress on.

I let the kids stay up for the half time show because they loved Lady Gaga.  She killed it, such an amazing performance.

Have a great start to your week!

Outfit of The Day | Black + Neutral

TGIF Friends!  I hope everyone has some fun plans for this first weekend in February.  I am keeping things short and sweet today and wanted to share a recent outfit this week.  I have been into wearing all black with some pops of neutral.
I love this outfit because each piece is a closet staples that I wear often.  They are tried and true favorites.

You may remember this tee shirt from the dressing room when I showed it a few weeks ago.
I am still loving it.  I sized up to a medium since it was from the Juniors section and I hate my tee shirts too fitted.  It comes in 4 other colors.  It is super soft and perfectly worn in.

I love the black color of the tee so much I think I am going to order the green next.  You can't beat the price at under $20.  These black high waisted jeans are the BEST!  You can never go wrong with Rag and Bone jeans.
Have a great weekend!

Thoughts For Thursday

Happy Thursday.

Several of you messaged me and wanted the recipe for this quinoa salad I made for lunch this week.  I used Ina Garten's recipe for her Middle Eastern Salad and just added quinoa.
You can see the recipe HERE

Inspired by my resort post I picked up this pom-pom maxi dress for St John.  It is cotton and so comfy.

My dresser arrived for the bedroom.  Things are slowly coming together.  I am having it painted in the next few weeks and a new rug is on the way too.  I also plan to mount the tv on the wall.

I mentioned last week that I had crazy bad chapped lips for almost 2 months.  I received so many great suggestions and some of you wanted to know what people recommended, so here were the most popular:

- Lanolin (aka nipple cream)
- aquaphor
- coconut oil

I ended up ordering the Sarah Happ products and love them.  I had been using Aquaphor before and for me it just wasn't working.  The scrub really helped to get the dead skin off my lips.  I ordered this grapefruit flavor but you are better off to buy the set as it is cheaper.  The lip slip feels amazing on your lips and really moisturizes.
Several people said you could make your own scrub as well with brown sugar and olive oil.

Snapped the sweetest picture the other night while Sterling and Frances Moon were watching TV.

Two White blouses I am loving.
This one is currently on sale + 40% off making it $26.

Under $100 and I am wearing a small.

Shopbop just reduced many items.  Scroll through to see a few I am loving.  That first sweater is my favorite!

I stopped in Indigo Market this week to look at a rug and they had some really pretty stuff.

Loving this Pinot Noir I picked up at Total Wine.
How gorgeous is this orchid I found at Lowes?  It came already potted in the glass container with the spike plant.

Outfit planning.  I am hoping to wear this out this weekend.

My dad shared this with me and I loved it so I wanted to share it too.

My Daily Make-Up Routine + SEWE

I frequently share what face masks and night time products I use on here but I have not done a daily face post in awhile.  I am that crazy gal who doesn't like to leave the house without make-up.  I don't like it to look like I am wearing too much make-up but I also like some coverage.  I have blond eye lashes and bad under eye circles so mascara and concealer always happen.  Below are the products I use on a daily basis.

daily make-up

I was skeptical about this at first but now I am totally obsessed.  I know some people say oils can be greasy but this one is not.  The key is to let it sit on skin about 2 minutes before you apply your moisturizer to settle in.  I love this one.  It is the first thing I put on every morning.  I feel like it really hydrates my skin.  This small bottle lasts for a long time too as you only need about 1-2 pumps.

Next I apply this moisturizer.  I like it because it is considered "safe" and has no harmful ingredients.   It has coconut oil, aloe, safflower oil and acai in it which really to help moisturize the skin.   It is also light weight and not greasy.

Under my eyes can get really dry so I apply an eye cream morning and night.  I find it helps my concealer not get cakey as well.

Then I apply tinted moisturizer to even out my skin.  This is another "safe" product I love.  The coverage is nice and it reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

I use this brush to apply the Tint Skin and I promise you really helps to seamlessly blend the foundation and make your skin look almost air brushed.  This was another item was skeptical about but now I am obsessed with it.

Under eye circles are my worst skin problem. Mine are so dark, add in the fact I don't sleep well most nights and that makes them even worse.  I actually use 2 concealers for extra coverage.

First I apply this Chanel one.  `I have the shade Beige Ivory.  I blend it with this brush.  Then I apply Cle De Paeu with my fingers.  I have found the combination of these two works well for me.
I use #31 in the chanel concealer and beige in Cle De Peau.

Next I use this brush and dust this powder over my face.  It provides just the perfect amount of coverage and doesn't look like you are wearing powder.  I use the Beige Rose color.

I ordered this set right after Christmas and I am obsessed with every single product in it.  It really makes your face look glowing and sun kissed. It comes with 5 products: mascara, beach stick, lipstick, eye shadow, and wonderglow instant beauty flash.  All these items are sold separately as well.  I liked the idea of the kit though to try a few at once.

The eyeshadow stick may be favorite, I love the color.  It looks dark but it is the prettiest bronze neutral.   I feel like it makes my eyes pop.  I have the bronze gromet color but they come in several other colors HERE.

The beach stick is also amazing.  You can use it on your cheeks and lips for that perfect sun kissed look.  I have the shade Moon beach but it also comes in 3 other shades.
The lipstick is a great neutral and I loved the mascara as well.  My lipstick is Very Victoria.

I love Chanel's eye liner.  It goes on smooth and is easy to use.  I alternate between the navy and black.

Another Chanel product I love.  I have tried so many mascaras and this one is always my favorite.  It makes your lashes look long and full.

During the day I don't wear lipstick but I do use lipgloss and love all the Beauty Counter ones.  I am loving the two new colors Bee blossom and Corabell.

I also wanted to mention in 2 weeks on Feb 17-19,  it's the Southeastern Wildlife Festival here in Charleston.   This is one of our favorite weekends.  It is such fun for the whole family.  There are shows, demonstrations, a petting zoo, and food and drinks!  It is Sterling's birthday weekend so my whole family is coming this year!
Today is the last day to pre-order tickets.  Use code HOORAY to save 20%.  You can order tickets HERE
