Obsessions

It's that time of the week again for me to share my current obsessions, so here it goes!

CHANEL PURSE
I have been wanting a Chanel purse for as long as I can remember. I can't decide if I like the bigger version better or the smaller quilted one. Lucky LC owns both. Either way they are both on my wishlist!! Hopefully I will own a Chanel purse one day!

HORN NECKLACE
Ever since seeing my girl Gwennie in her horn necklace I have been on the hunt for one. I think it looks cute with everything. I found one cheap one at F21 and a bit more expensive one at ABS. Thoughts on which one is cuter?

FLIP FLOP WINES
I blogged about this wine a few months ago. Last week I was lucky enough to be sent samples of the Chardonnay and Cabernet and they did not disappoint. I loved the Chardonnay. You can't beat a wine that is only $7.99 and for every bottle you buy a pair of shoes is donated. A genuis concept really. I will be serving flipflop wines at all my playgroups!

CHARLESTON PICKLE COMPANY COLD POUR PICKLES
These pickles are made locally here in Charleston (not sure if they are sold in other cities in the South yet, so sorry to tease my non-local readers). They are cold pour pickles meaning the pickles are pickled without heat. This results in a pickle that retains it's color, structure and taste without any preservatives or chemicals. and they use organic cucmbers! These are the freshiest pickles you will ever taste. If you love pickles you must give these a try. I snack on them daily for my salty fix.

PINTEREST
Anybody else totally hooked on this site yet? It is addictive. It is such a great way to catalog things you love! It is filled with so many fabulous ideas, pretty spaces, and great recipes! A few of my recent favs:
Crock Pot Mac and Cheese, umm yes please

Adorable party idea. Who doesn't love sweet 16 doughnuts? Totally doing this at Sterling's next birthday party.

Anniversary + Weekend Pics

Today marks my one year blogging anniversary! Hard to believe I started this little blog a year ago hoping that just my friends and family would read it and now I have over 300 followers. I am so flattered that you all care to read what I write! Blogging has been such a wonderful experience for me. All you fellow bloggers are constantly inspiring me and I learn so much from each and every one of you! This has been such a great creative outlet for me now that I am a stay at home mom. I truly value all our "friendships" and your comments always make my day! So thanks for reading, inspiring me and motivating me! I am thankful to be a part of this crazy blogging world and have you girls in my life. I love you gals!

Now on to our weekend! We had a fabulous weekend filled with two playdates, a cook out at a friend's house and a fathers day lunch at our house! So much for a low key weekend, right?

This is my new favorite outfit. I seriously wear it once a week. I wore it to our Father's Day lunch yesterday and maybe Monday too (don't judge). Tibi Blouse, JBrand Rolled Cuff Jean Shorts, Tory Burch Flats.
Sterling giving Matt some fatherly love on Father's Day

I did manage to get a little love on Father's Day too!
My two favorite men

Sterling rocking his Tom Brady hair do as we like to call it.

Not quite sure about this whole sharing thing.
We are trying to teach Sterling the importance of not drinking and driving but I don't think he gets it. This party animal would not set Mommy's wine glass down!

My little man was completely exhausted from all his playdates and busy weekend! Yes, I am totally that crazy mom that still takes pictures of her child sleeping at night! I can't help it he is so darn sweet when he is sleeping!

I hope you all had a great weekend and special fathers day too!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's day first and fore most to my dad. I love him more than I could ever put into words. He is the most honest, caring, good hearted man. He truly makes me want to be a better person. He is always inspiring me to do more with my life. He always knows the right thing to do and stands up for it and family is his first priority. It literally melts my heart when I see him with Sterling. I count my lucky stars every day to have such a loving and supportive dad. Dad, I love you more than you will ever know!

Second, Happy Father's Day to my hubby. Sterling is so lucky to have you as a Dad! You are such a good daddy to him! I am so proud of how hard and tirelessly you work to support and provide for us. I am so thankful to have you as my husband and best friend. I love our little family of 3. I can tell being a dad has made you a better person and I love that. You are always looking out for Sterling's best interest and that makes a great dad. We both love you so much!

Happy Father's Day to all you other Father's out there too. Enjoy your special day today.

Sienna Loving

I have a major girl crush on Sienna. Don't worry I am still loyal to my girl Gwennie but I adore Sienna. I remember the first time I saw her in the movie Alfie, I thought she was the most beautiful girl ever. Not only is she gorgeous but her style is off the charts. I love her Bohemian/Rock and Roll look. She always looks effortlessly dressed. I also love her hair, I wish I could get mine to look like that! It looks great pulled up or down with her layers.

Funny thing, when I was pregnant with Sterling, if it was going to be a girl we were going to name her Sienna! Now don't be trying to steal my baby name because if I ever do I have girl (although I am pretty sure I am going to end up with 3 boys, just call it mother's intuition) I might still want to use it! Here are a few of my favorite shots of her rocking some badass outfits.

I love the flowey floral top with the studded belt, great combo.

The black and yellow dress is one of my favorites.

I might have to copy this outfit for the fall. So chic and easy. The perfect traveling outfit!

I remember being obsessed with this dress years ago when she wore it.

Have a great weekend! We have no plans, except celebrating father's day of course. After my busy week last week, I am super excited to have some down time with my family!

The Best Appetizer Part 2

Several months ago I blogged about my Tex-Mex Wontons and how fabulous they were. Well, I have a new spin on them, a vegetarian version: Spinach and Artichoke Wontons. If you love spinach artichoke dip, then these will soon be your favorite appetizer. These are so darn good, I seriously couldn't stop eating them. And how cute are they to sit out for a party or when you are entertaining? I promise you will be head over heels in love with these babies if you make them.

SPINACH ARTICHOKE WONTONS-1 Package Wonton Shells
-1 package frozen spinach thawed and squeezed almost dry
-1 can artichoke hearts drained and chopped
-1 8 oz cream cheese, softened
-1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
-1/4 cup diced pickled jalapenos
-1/4 cup mayo
-1/3 sour cream

Mix all ingredients together and season with salt and pepper. Place wontons in ungreased mini muffin pans. Fill the wontons with the filling and bake at 350 degrees about 15 minutes or until bubbly and wontons start to turn light brown.

** I usually add a few more jalapenos because we like ours spicy, but you could totally leave them out if you don't like the heat. This makes about 36-40 wontons. If you don't need that many you can freeze or refrigerate the leftover mixture to use another time.**
