Shells + Twist Back Dress

Today marks our last day at the beach.  I am so sad to leave, we just love Figure Eight.  It has been an amazing week.
This is one of my favorite outfits I packed. The dress is light weight (cotton) and so comfortable.  It runs tts, I am in a size small.  It also comes in a beautiful orange color.

The twine and twig necklace I bought before our trip to St Maarten and I have been wearing it non-stop.  It is such a fun statement necklace.

My Teddie Tote is on sale right now.  The white is great for Summer.
I just adore the back of the dress.  The twist adds a fun detail.

Cheers to a fabulous weekend.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Favorites | Shop Early!

Today marks the start of the Nordstrom Anniversary sale.  This is one of their biggest sales of the year.  The sale opens a week early for card holders, so if you have a Nordstrom card now is the time to shop and take advantage of these fabulous deals.  Sizes go fast, so if you have a card it is smart to shop early you get first pick.

Today I am sharing women's favorites because they seem to sell out the fastest.  I will share kids and beauty favorites later on.

This Kendra Scott Necklaces is one of my favorites.  I wear it often.  It goes with everything.  It is rarely on sale but reduced now!
I lived in these last Fall.  So comfortable and they suck you in like no other legging.

If you don't have one of these you need one.  Works wonders on your skin. A great time to try while it is on sale.
A great everyday sandal.

These are a must for Fall.  Rag and Bone Booties are the best.
I own this is in a few different patterns and just love it.  It is a nice fit.
I adore this dress.  Would be perfect for a late Summer Fall wedding,
These are my favorite stacking bracelets.  My mom owns several and I am always borrowing them.
Hands down my favorite jeans.  Love this olive color for Fall.

A few other women's favorites.

Bright and Happy Dress + 3 Rose Wines to Try

It is no secret I am a huge Mara Hoffman fan.  I just adore her bright prints, they make me so happy.  The colors and the patterns are always so fun.  So of course I fell in love with this dress the minute I saw it.

I am kind of obsessed with the print.  The dress runs a touch on the small side.  I am wearing a medium because I did not want it super fitted.

The house behind me is where Jennifer Aniston stayed recently while filming a movie in Wilmington.  If only she was staying there now so I could celebrity stalk:)

The Gigi Tote below is a favorite for Summer, I use it as an everyday purse and for a beach tote.  It  also comes in dark and light blue trim.

Frances Moon got in on the bright color vibes too.
Frances Moon's embroidered tunic is from Allegra and Luca, she does the most beautiful hand embroidered Mexican dresses!

Also wanted to mention 3 Rose wines I am loving this Summer.  We packed these for our vacation this week and they are super delicious.  If you are a local they carry them at the Wine Store DT near the Ashley Marina.  They are all light, crisp, and easy to drink.

You can shop my look below:)

Loaded Veggie Couscous

This is my new favorite salad for lunch.  One of my sister's good friends Megan, passed this recipe on to her and she passed it on to me. It is a real winner and super easy to put together.  You really can use any veggies you have on hand but this combo pairs together really well.   The more veggies the better.  My sister added artichoke hearts to hers as well.  This will save well in the fridge for several days.
Would also pair great with kabobs if you wanted a more substantial meal.
Enjoy!

- 1 box Near East Parmesan CousCous
- 1 jar sundried tomatoes ( save the oil)
- 3-4 green onions sliced
-  red bell pepper diced
- handful of kalamata olives diced
- 4-5 hearts of palms sliced
- 1 cup chick peas rinsed and drained
- 1 cup diced cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 english cucumber diced
- crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 2 lemons juiced

Cook the couscous according to the box and fluff when a fork when it is done cooking.  Add in all the veggies and stir together.  Pour the oil from the sun dried tomatoes in and season with salt and papper.  Add the juice of two lemons.  I added another drizzle of regular olive oil in.    Serve at room temperature and enjoy!

Scenes From Our Weekend

I am writing today's post as I sit out on the deck and watch the ocean- pure bliss I tell you!  Friday we packed up and headed to Figure Eight.  We are here for a week on vacation with my family.

After a 4 hour drive (including a fender bender- someone backed into my car in the parking lot at Wendy's) we were happy to arrive.  Last year we stayed on the sound side and this year we are ocean front which is so nice.  The view from our deck!
Frances was beyond excited.
She is all like AH YES, let vacation begin.

My outfit for the drive and first night.
We were lucky enough to see a rainbow our first night!  It was so beautiful.
Cousin Finley makes everyone happy.

The next day was 4th of July, the kids woke up super excited.
I stopped by the Dollar Store before our trip and loaded up on 4th of July accessories.

We watched a parade and then hit up a really fun party at the Figure Eight Yacht Club.
Then we hit up the beach!

Friday night we cooked out hamburgers and hot dogs.

Obligatory 4th of July Family photo.

Fun with sparklers.

Sunday morning I went for the most beautiful run.  It is always nice to have a change of scenery.
Then we hit up the beach again.
If you need a beach tote you have to check out Barbara Cobb's site.  This bag fits everything I need and it has pockets for your phone and sunscreen etc.  You design your own and can choose what fabrics you want and the monogram style.

The three amigos.
My sister had the genius idea to bring an inflatable pool.  That way we didn't have to worry about the kids going too deep in the ocean plus it kept them occupied.  They loved it and so did the adults!
Wearing their Barbara Cobb hats:)

Happy Hour Sunday. Of course Matt packed his "tuxedo".  He wanted to dress up for my Dad's birthday.
This dress + necklace have been on constant rotation.
Cousin Maxton arrived and my mom bought the kids the cutest matching tees.

Picture overload!  We are off to the beach again this morning.  Have a great Monday!
