Scenes From Our Weekend

I can't believe it is Monday already and almost halfway thru April!  This year seems to be flying by.

I started off the weekend Friday with a fun ladies lunch. We ate at Tavern and Table which is a new favorite restaurant of mine.  The interiors are gorgeous and it is right on the water.  We were able to get a table outside which was so nice.   If you go there you must try the kale salad.  It is amazing. I am still thinking about it and how to recreate it at home.

This past week and weekend were great because I could finally wear shorts.  Loving the warmer temps.  These white shorts are the same brand as the white jeans I wore last week.  They are a great fit if you are looking for white shorts.

At lunch I could tell Frances just wasn't acting like herself so afterwards I took her to the doctor and I am glad I did.  Sweet girl had an ear infection, hives, and pink eye.  Always best to trust your gut.  She had no fever or other symptoms but just didn't seem like herself.  For all you moms the hives look very similar to bug bites, hard to tell the difference, except she seemed really uncomfortable.  She was still smiling even at the doctor:)

Friday we did our usual thing and ordered pizza and played games with Sterling.  We call it our game night.  I enjoyed some amazing Rose.  My next door neighbor works part time at wine store and introduced me to it.  It is a perfect rose, dry, smooth and not sweet.

Saturday morning I took Sterling to Hyams, it is my favorite garden store to browse.  He loves it too because of the fish pond at the back.  They have some gorgeous plants and everyone is so helpful there.

We planted our Earthboxes and some other flowers.  I will report back on the Earthboxes and how well the plants grow.  It seems like a cool system though.

My Micheal Kors embroderied shift arrived and I love it!  This dress would be great for church, wedding,  or party.  It is now 40% off.

Enjoyed the most delicious burger.  Matt cooks the most amazing burgers.  The key is good meat (80/20 is best) and simplicity no extra seasoning but salt and pepper.

Sunday we enjoyed another great meal, whole wheat banana panckes and bacon.  Miss Frances was all about the bacon.

I finally have got back into running.  I go through phases not working out but now I am back in the zone.  I ran three times this week and my goal is to get back to 4 runs a week.  It helps me so much mentally to get that workout in and have some alone time.

These are a few songs on my current playlist.  Sometimes I just listen to Sugar on repeat, Adam makes me want to run.

Sunday night we cooked Shrimp Nachos.  Can you tell this weekend was all about cooking good food at home??  It was nice to have a low key weekend with no plans.

Hope you have a great start to your week.

JCrew just added a bunch of new items to their sale, use code SHOPNOW to take extra 30% off.
I was thrilled to see this dress and blouse reduced.  I had tried both on in the store but didn't want to pay full price.  I ordered the dress in the blush color and the blouse in orange.

also reduced with extra 30% is my tie dye top.  This is such a great casual Summer Blouse.

These are the best leggings ever.

Such a pretty dress for church, a wedding, a shower.  Versatile and I love the embroidery.  Currently 40% off.

also 40% off, love both colors and the bohemian feel.

I am a huge fan of Kendra Scott jewelry, the price point is great and the pieces are perfect for everyday wear.  This would be a great necklace for layering, comes in a bunch of different colors but I always love turquoise.

I always love these needlepoint JA pillows

Also comes in metallic silver as well.  I love the idea of these in a playroom or kid's room.

I always love anything Juliska makes.  These glasses come in clear, blue, and green.  Reduced to 50% off!

The matching footed glasses are also 50% off.

Would love to find a spot for these in my house!

Lots of great new markdowns on Piperlime.

I love my shirt like this, throw a white cami on underneath and it looks great with jeans or shorts!

I have a thing for nude and blush colored blouses.  This one is so pretty.

Love the bright colors and tassel tie.

These also come in mint, black, and coral.  Now reduced to $34!

This would make a great everyday purse and its 60% off!

If you spend $75 you get $30 off your order.

This little girl's PomPom Tunic is so adorable.  Looks way more expensive than it is!
Equally adorable is this one shoulder metallic dragonfly bathing suit.

For the boys these embroidered shorts look so similar to a pair I saw at JCrew, but way cheaper.
Happy Saturday and Happy Shopping!

Thoughts For Friday

TGIF.  Who is ready for the weekend??
Can we discuss how excited I am to have some new Reality TV.   I was so over the Beverly Hills Housewives towards the end, I could barely watch it.   I am happy the NYC girls are back and that they brought Bethenny back, I am always a fan of her.  I guess Ramona finally ditched Mario for cheating and gotta say I am digging the new girl so far.  Sonja always proves to be interesting and I love laid back Carol.

Southern Charm is a constant train wreck but I can't stop watching it  I always love to see the local spots where they film.  I have to admit I love Whitney's mom, she may be my favorite character.  Always sitting in her caftans, having her butlers make her a martini- gotta love her.

This year Matt and I decided we wanted to do more of a real garden.  We were going to build an upraised bed but one of his friends suggested The Earth Box.  I just ordered 2 and I am going to plant our produce this weekend.  He swears by the Earth box and says his produce grows really well.  I will report back on our results.

So far we are going to plant: kale, arugula, swiss chard, squash, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower (should be interesting), habaneros, and herbs.

If you are looking for an easy and delicious side dish, you must try The Barefoot Contessa's Roasted Broccoli with pine nuts.
You roast the broccoli with minced garlic. Then toss with pine nuts, fresh basil, Parmesan cheese and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.  The flavors are amazing.  Sterling loves it too and he is picky, but when I made it this week he went back for seconds!

Frances is such a doll when she wakes up from her naps.  I love walking in her room and seeing her sweet smile.
She is wearing her Rikshaw Pineapple dress.  If you follow me on instagram (snoopnattynat) I will be running a giveaway to win this same dress and bloomer set next week.

Sterling started soccer back for the Spring and I have to say I am loving the practices and games.
Matt decided to help coach this year and it warms my heart to see the two on the field together.

I am so excited my favorite Equipment shorts are back out in a fun floral print.  I bought the leopard version last year and wore them all the time.  They zip in the back and have no pockets so they fit really well and are flattering.

I recently ordered  The Sprouted Kitchen new cookbook and it is just awesome.  Beautiful photographs and recipes.  If you need a new cookbook check this one out.  Every single recipe looks amazing.  I have already made two recipes and they both were great.
This kale slaw with soaked golden raisins and pine nuts was simply incredible.

Have a great weekend!

Blue + White

I wanted to share an outfit today featuring a pair of my favorite white jeans.   I know I have mentioned these white jeans a few times on here but never showed an actual view of them on.   They fit perfectly, sit higher up and suck in flab, and are thicker material so not see thru at all.  They are distressed at the knees and frayed at the bottom as well which I really like.  It makes them a bit more casual.  These are the kind of jeans I want to wear everyday and I am sad when they are dirty.
I have kind of become addicted to distressed jeans.  I never want to wear my regular pairs only the ones with holes.  Maybe it is my inner rebel breaking out, but this is a trend I am still fully in love with.

Since today is the last day of the Shopbop Friends and Family Sale you can take 25% off the jeans!  Use code SPRING25

I love this blouse because the style is so unique. I have to admit when I saw it was BCBG I was shocked, their new Spring line is really awesome this year.
If you sign up with your email you can get 15% off your order.  I am wearing a size XS for those curious about sizing, it runs pretty TTS if not a bit on the large side.

I also really like this similar version.  Same kind of scarf print look.

The shoes are super comfortable and who doesn't like a little extra bling??
You can also take 25% off the shoes today only.

They come in a gladiator version as well, also on sale.

The purse is the perfect shade of pale blue, it actually goes with everything. You can carry it as a clutch or it comes with a strap as well to be a cross-body.

You can't see my earrings well in the picture but they are made by my friend English Norman.  Her work is gorgeous. She hand makes all her jewelry (you might remember this necklace and bracelet she made me in the past with my kids' names) and is a real talent.

My little lady trying to get the picture too:)
