Scenes From Our Weekend

Did everyone have a great weekend?  The kids and I had a great time in Charlotte!
Here is what we did!

Frances Moon turned 4 months last week!  I can't believe how fast time is flying by. We had her four month appointment and the doctor said she was 90th percentile for height and weight.  Our chunky girl loves to eat.

The doctor gave us the go ahead to start some baby food.  I was so excited because one of my best friends, Melissa, just started a baby food company with her husband called Giggle Bites.  She dropped me off some samples to try and Frances loved them!  Her food is currently sold at the Baby Store in Charlotte but will soon be online and in other cities.  The food is awesome because it is not processed, no preservatives or additives, just the fresh locally farmed veggies and fruits.

Saturday I went to a baby shower for one of my best friends and my roommate before Matt and I got married.

I only took one picture at the shower with my girl, Melissa.  I was too busy chatting with all my friends and sipping delish champagne.  Can't believe I didn't get one with the Mama to be!

We went to a pop up shop after the shower to visit our friend April's booth.  She has an Etsy shop called East and Coco where she sells all her amazing estate sale finds.  I wanted everything she had!  You must check her site out and she is offering a 20% discount with code NATALIELOVE20.  You can shop her site HERE.

I found this peacock chair for Frances at one of the other booths.  They were practically giving it away, I thought the price was a joke.  It will look so cute out on our porch.

My dad cooked us breakfast Saturday that was incredible.  This meat platter says it all, I had to restrain myself from eating all the bacon.

He even made pancakes in the shape of a bunny for Sterling, so cute!

We of course enjoyed some delicious wine.  This Kenwood Cabernet was really good.

I got several giftcards after Frances was born that I was finally able to use while I was in town at the mall.   Now normally I am not a big Lilly Pulitzer fan, its just not my style, but I thought this dress was too cute not to get for Frances.  It comes with matching bloomers too.

While we were at the mall Sterling decided to do a little modeling in the JCrew window:)  It was funny til the salesperson asked him to leave.

We got to spend time with my sweet nephew Finley.  He is such a doll.  Love that he and Frances are so close in age.

Happy Monday!

Saturdays Steals and Splurges

Here are this weekends best deals.

Nordstrom just did a bunch of new markdowns.
This Equipment Cashmere Sweater is 60% off- now is the time to stock up for next fall/winter.  Would totally be cute for now too with jean shorts.

I am all about new workout clothes to get me inspired to tone up and lose the last of this baby weight.  Love this Zella top that is on sale because it is loose and not clingy!

The camel is the perfect color.

I really love these two tone Sam Edleman pumps.

....................................................................
Rag and Bone Skinny Jeans are on sale in this great wash for Summer on Shopbop.  I swear by my Rag and Bone jeans.

......................................................................................

This Joie Leopard print blouse is a real steal at $90.  My mom has it and I borrow it all the time.

and this short sleeve snakeskin version is only $69

...............................................................................................

If you need new perfume you must buy the Jo Malone Peony and Blush perfume.  I just got it and it smells amazing so fresh and springy.  PLus I love you can only buy a 1 ounce bottle because I always get sick of my perfumes.

...........................................................................................
Serena and Lily has a small sale going on.  Really love these gold leaf napkins.
They also come in a great greenish silver here.

Happy Shopping and Happy Saturday!

Annoying Pet Peeves x 2

Happy Friday Love bugs.  I am in Charlotte enjoying a break from the everyday routine spending time with my lovely rents and having help with the kids!  My mom and I love discussing pet peeves so I thought it would be fun to do a list again- don't leave us hanging you must chime in and tell us your pet peeves!  You can read my original post here:)
TGIF

- When people take their sick kids to school or daycare even when they know they are sick.  They pop them with Tylenol and send them anyways.  Same in the workplace.  Stay home if you feel sick don't get others sick.

- When you are peeing in a bathroom stall and there are tons of other open stalls and someone goes in the one right beside you.

- Picking your teeth with your finger or tongue during a meal

- When you are waiting on a parking spot and that person gets in their car, sits there, checks their phone and takes their sweet ass time pulling out even though they know you are waiting on that spot.

- When you are with your kids waiting to check out with only a few items and someone gets in line in front of you with an overflowing cart and doesn't offer to let you go first-  honestly this is kind of rude even without kids but more so with fussy kids.

- Getting in the checkout line to ask the price of something.  It just holds up the line for everyone else- go find someone else working and ask them.

- People who shop with their bluetooths in and talk the entire time they are shopping.

- Cars not using turn signals, plain rude

- People that walk right smack down the middle of a parking lot and not on the sides, even when they hear a car behind them and don't move.

-Large group text messages where everyone keeps responding so you keep getting tons of responses from everyone for days

- The kiosks in the mall.  They hound you about samples even when you say no.  The most annoying is when they say "can I ask you a question."  Well you just did ask me a question so, no.

- People that always act like they will be at something and then cancel last minute every single time.  Just be honest from the get go and say you can't make it.

- People that constantly text while they are with you especially at dinner or happy hour (this means you Dad).  Put your phone away for a few minutes.

- When someone constantly asks you where everything you own is from.

- Too many hashtags.  If there are more than three I am not reading them.

Ok so now tell me your most annoying pet peeves!!
Have a great weekend!
xoxo

NDM Style : The Perfect Cross Body Purse

Since becoming a mom of two I have been all about the cross body purse.  It keeps your hands free when trying to tend to two kiddos.  I usually carry a cross body and then have a tote bag filled with diapers and such for Frances in my car.  Ever since purchasing my clutches from the Gigi New York sale, I have been smitten with them and the quality.  This Gigi New York Elle cross body bag is no exception.  It is from their new pebbled leather collection and it is amazing, not to mention the perfect shade of blue- although it comes in many different colors if blue isn't your favorite.  I also really loved the tan color.

For my birthday last weekend I carried it to the Firefly Distillery.  I went neutral with the rest of my outfit because I was feeling springy and felt like it really made the blue pop.

Ray Ban Aviators | JCrew Blouse old similar here, here and here | Rag and Bone Blush Jeans |

and excuse my serious face, I prefer to smile but was feeling silly after my wine.  I was channeling my inner Tyra Banks.  This at least gives you a close up of my outfit.

The shoes are my Dolce Vita Daffodil Sandals.  I am telling you they are the best color tan sandals and comfortable. If you live locally stop in Thera M they carry these other Dolce Vita styles.  They are comfy and go with everything. and love my Rag and Bone blush colored jeans.  A must for Spring!

But back to the purse it is truly awesome if you need a cross body bag.   The inside is big, I can fit my big wallet, phone, sunglasses case, keys, lipsticks and there is still room.
It is a great everyday to night purse!

Happy Thursday.  You can shop the whole look below!

Tuna + Prosciutto Quiche

I have said it before but I love a quiche.  It is such an easy week night dinner to whip together plus it is filled with protein and healthy.
This quiche came about as way to clean out our fridge and it was really tasty.  The Prosciutto really made the quiche pop and gave it great flavor so don't skip it!  You could easily sub bacon if that is what you have on hand.  Also if you aren't a fan of tuna you could use canned Atlantic salmon or chicken.  Really any meat would work.  The combo of the veggies and meat in this quiche was really tasty!
Enjoy!

|| T U N A + P R O S C I U T T O  Q U I C H E ||

- 1 can chunk tuna in water drained
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
- 1 cup julienne fresh spinach
- 8 slices prosciutto
- 2 tablespoons diced red onion
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
- 6 eggs, whisked
- 3/4 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- salt and pepper
- 1 pie crust homemade or store bought

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Arrange prosciutto slices flat on a baking sheet and bake about 5-10 minutes until crispy.  Crumble once cooled.  Roll pie shell into baking dish and press down.  Bake the pie shell at 400 degrees for 10 minutes- pull out and let it cool.
In a bowl whisk together eggs, milk, flour, baking soda, salt and pepper,  and cheese.
Layer tuna and next 5 ingredients at the bottom of the cooled pie shell.  Pour egg mixture over the top.  Bake at 350 degrees 30-40 mins until bubbly.

Obsessions

Loving this simple tee shirt dress, the pattern is so fun.  It would be awesome for everyday wear.

I just love a fun printed short for the Summer.  They are so effortlessly chic.  These would look so cute with a white tee and sandals.  Best part they are only $49!

I have been finding so many fabulous summer sandals lately.  Love these SE ones, the gold cuff makes such a statement.

I have been all about some phython print lately.  This is the perfect summer dress and it is a steal under $100!

I love a loose fitting tee for exercise. Clingy shirts make me uncomfortable.  This zella one is perfect for pilates, yoga, running, or just casual wear (because you all know I love to wear workout clothes even when I don't have intentions of working out).

I am huge fan of jean shorts in the summer.  Love this lighter wash from BB Dakota and the higher waisted style.

This is such a great everyday necklace you could wear it alone or layer it with other pieces.

Such a stunning one piece.  Mara Hoffman always does the most amazing prints.  The back of this suit is equally stunning!

I love dressing girls in blue.  This dress from Gap is so precious. I love the modern spin on smocking and the bow details.  Use code DEALFORU to get 35% off your purchase.  Also love this camo jacket for Sterling.
