Crushing on Diana Warner Jewelry

I have a new jewelry obsession in the way of Diana Warner.   Several of you asked about my cocktail ring over Christmas, and it was Diana Warner.  Her pieces are so unique and not crazy expensive.  Plus most are on sale right now for 25% off!

I wore this emerald ring all through the holidays.
The gold and emerald combo is currently unavailable but it does comes in an emerald and gunmetal combo.

If you like the gold setting (which I do) you can get my same ring with a golden stone and gold setting

The the other ring I chose was this cocktail ring.  I loved that it was so unique.  I wore it out to our New Years dinner.  And excuse my man hands- I swear they look like Madonna's hands,  big with veins sticking out.  I could obviously never be a hand model.

The ring I am wearing above also comes in Matte Silver version as well.

Diana Warner was just featured in 17 magazine too!

I really love all her pieces.  Here are a few of my other favorites!

and a close up of my two rings!  You can see just how stunning they are, such cool cocktail rings (ignore the man hands again).
You can check out the whole Diana Warner site HERE.

Big thanks to Diana Warner for sponsoring this post.  All thoughts opinions and jewelry choices are my own, always.

The Perfect Nicoise Salad + Wino Wednesday

I thought it was only fitting that my first recipe of the New Year be a healthy one. I love a Nicoise salad, it is one of my favorite things to order when we are out if it is on the menu.  I decided to recreate one at home and it was so tasty.  The best part is the leftovers save so well.  The key is keeping everything separate.  If you mix it all together with the dressing it all gets soggy.  I like to make a big family style platter,  that way everyone can serve as they like.  Matt likes more potatoes and I like more green beans and olives so we both can serve accordingly.  The beans, eggs, and potatoes can be cooked ahead to save you time.  I do recommend splurging for some good tuna or you could even do fresh, which would be awesome.  I bought the Tonnino kind in a glass jar with olive oil and it was so much better than the canned version.  I also picked up my olives from the olive bar, not jarred ones, they have much more flavor.
Enjoy!

|| N I C O I S E   S A L A D ||

- 1 head Romaine chopped
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes sliced n hlaf
- 3 hard boiled eggs sliced
- 1/2 pound baby potatoes
- fresh olives
- haricort verts
- Tuna in olive oil ( I recommend the jarred kind called Tonnino)

 DRESSING
- 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
- juice of one lemon
- 1 garlic clove minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- salt and pepper

Heat a pot of boiling salted water and add Haricot verts.  Cook 4-5 minutes and then immediately remove and place in ice bath to stop cooking process.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Toss baby potatoes with olive oil and salt and pepper.  Place on baking sheet and bake about 20 minutes until fork tender.

Whisk together all ingredients for dressing.

Layer all on a platter with dressing in a bowl.  Serve on plates and drizzle with dressing.  I found this was best room temperature or slightly cool.

My friend Amanda asked me to participate in Wino Wednesday and of course I was thrilled and happy to share some of my favorite wine!   I love wine and the older I have gotten the more I have come to appreciate good wine.

Since it has been chilly here I have been in a red wine mood.  This red wine came in my monthly wine box from Wine Awesomeness and I have been hooked ever since.

If you are not a remember of a wine club, I highly recommend signing up for one.  It is a great way to try new wines and have them delivered to your door!  You can sign up and get your first month free HERE .
The Rioja is full bodied but not overpowering at all.  It is super smooth and oh so good.

The notes on the Wine Awesomeness page describe the flavors well

"Bright red fruit in the form of red cherry, red currant and pomegranate; dill, vanilla, dried roses, and sexiness.  Medium-bodied and silky, there's a sumptuousness to this wine that keeps you going back for more. "

This red wine is a winner and only $15!

New Year New Obsessions

After the New Year I always start craving the Sun and a vacation. Matt and I are actually in the midst of planning a tropical getaway in the next few months,  so many of my obsessions this week are beach related!  We are looking to travel somewhere in the BVI or US Virgin Islands (thinking maybe all inclusive) and would welcome any recs of places to stay!

I love this straw purse, perfect for a beach getaway.  Under $100!

These shoes are perfection and under $200 although they look like a million bucks!
I think these would look equally great with jeans and dresses.

The color of this dress is just stunning!  You could wear it now with booties and then in the Summer with cute flats.

I just love this pattern on these shorts.  I even love the matching top paired with the shorts.

I am so tempted to order this romper to try,  It is only $60 and I love the color.   Plus it looks like a classic and not too revealing fit.

Such a fab cover up, also comes in white.  I really like the cut-out detail at the bottom and shoulders.

I have mentioned this blouse before but it is on major sale plus additional 40% off with code STYLE2015.  It comes to only $30 after the discount. I love the white or blue for summer paired with cut-offs.

I own the black and white- it runs on the large side, I am wearing a size 2.

This is quite possibly the perfect nude lipstick.  I am hooked on mine, it goes on smoothly and provides the perfect hint of color.

I love both these Lemlem tunics on sale plus additonal 40% off and Lemlem is rarely on sale.  I actually ordered the shorter version to try out.
also in the longer version.
Obsessing over the colors and pattern on this bag.  Perfect for a weekend getaway!
This is one of my picks from the Lily sale.  I fell in love with this hot pink leopard when I saw it in the store.  It is now only $39, today is the last day to shop the sale.

I also love the Elsa blouse in this fun pattern, reminds me of Palm Beach in the 70s. The colors are so vibrant.  Now 50% off!

I am loving these flats in all 4 colors and designs they come in!

Really digging this white blouse, the bottom detail is gorgeous.

This is not clothes related but Matt and I are obsessed with this Coconut Water, like it is the best coconut water we have had.  I like that it comes in cans to keep it really cold plus I love the bits of pulp in it.  I keep ordering it by the caseload.

The First Days of 2015

I hope everyone had a great New Years and start to 2015.  Matt and I decided to have some alone time on New Years Eve and go to dinner just the two of us.  And you know what I stuck with one of my resolutions and didn't take any pictures and left my phone in my purse the whole dinner.  I am trying to be fully engaged in moments like that and not always on my phone!  We had a lovely time and then came home to two sick kids:(

Both Sterling and Frances have been sick for days.  This was what our New Years Day looked like.  Pretty sad.  Frances ended up having RSV and Sterling had some sort of a virus.

Matt and I decided we needed an adult beverage to unwind after taking care of the sick babies and we made the most delish Bloody Marys.  Apparently New Years Day is national Bloody Mary Day- so fitting, right??

Then we of course had to eat our collard greens and black eyed peas.
This is our standard New Years Day meal, we don't love pork so we do fried chicken instead.
and confession I was super lazy this year and picked this whole meal up at Publix, the only thing I cooked was the cornbread.  It all was delicious and made for a stress free New Years.

Since I wasn't on my A game at Christmas I decided to make some healthy New Years treats for our neighbors.   I made Energy Balls and Coconut Carrot Zucchini Muffins.

The muffins are a great healthy breakfast and the kids love them.

My after Christmas sale purchase arrived and I love it.
Available in the black/navy combo on sale and in the pink top version
Both are extra 30% off with code WINTER30.

One of Matt's friends passed along this adorable Carolina dress for Frances.
She is still loving her piano, her favorite Christmas gift.

On Saturday night we made some amazing nachos and paired them with George Clooney's tequila which was actually very good!

My first Chatbook arrived in the mail and I love it!!  It is such a great way to print and save your instagram photos!  If you use code SNOOP762 you can get your first book free!

On Sunday the kids were finally well enough to venture to Target.  I have never been so excited to get dressed and out of the house. I am wearing a small in the blouse, it runs TTS and is currently on sale.  I think it will be great in the Spring too because it is lightly sheer, will look awesome with white jeans.

I also sat down and got organized for the New Year while the kids napped. This is my second year using a Gigi New York Planner, they are my favorite.  The planners are not on sale but you must check out their Winter Sale I mentioned yesterday!    The sale opens to the public tomorrow but you can shop early HERE!!

And for all you Lily Pulitzer fans, the big New Years sale starts today at 8:00am!  Lily is not totally my style but I do love her blouses and the little girl clothes and they will be on sale,  so of course I will be checking them out!  You can shop HERE!

Happy First Monday of 2015!
