also this cute little cover-up is headed my way. Between our two upcoming beach trips and the fact I will be living at the pool this Summer I wanted a few updated cover-ups.
Did you guys know it is National Sleep Week?? Had no idea, but it got me thinking about our Master Bedroom. I feel like I neglect our Master Bedroom the most and want this to be the year I finally spruce it up. I often have a hard time sleeping, too many things race through my head when I am trying to fall asleep.
Lately at night I have gotten into reading a good book (reading Girl on the Train now, so good), meditating, and drinking some hot lemon water to help me sleep. Any other tips?
Fresh bedding can help too.
Crane and Canopy was sweet enough to send me a new duvet and shams for our bed. It was perfect timing since my kids had recently spilled something on my old duvet and it had huge yellow stains on it. Gotta love those messy little fingers. I decided to go for all white this time so I could have the freedom to switch out pillows and I may even repaint our walls too. I did keep our existing bordered European Shams.
and I have to mention I have been loving my Target benches below, such a fab purchase for the price!
I decided to use a coverlet first and then just fold our duvet at the bottom.
The Crane and Canopy Duvet and Shams are so soft and my favorite part is they have invisible zippers so no buttons coming undone. It provides a seamless look.
I want two paintings to flank each side of the bed. I am having my friend Ann do these for us. Check out her Etsy site- she does custom orders too. Thinking something abstract and similar to this.

Here's to sweet dreams.
These other ladies also teamed up with Crane and Canopy to promote National Sleep Week, check out their beds!
I mentioned a few weeks ago that my kids were growing like crazy, their feet too. It was time to get some Spring shoes for both of them. I turned to Nordstrom, of course. They carry my favorite kid's lines and I can't find a local store that does.
We also needed some new dressier clothes for church and I am already thinking about Easter too:) I thought these shoes would be perfect for Easter.
Never a dull moment with these two.
Sterling of course likes to pick out his own outfits. He insisted on a pink polo- Lacoste is my favorite, they fit well and last forever. He also picked about these skull and cross bone pants, he is in a real pirate phase these days. They were my first Mini Boden purchase for him and I have to say the quality is awesome.
He wanted a pair of boat shoes to be like his Daddy. I am always a fan of Sperry shoes for Sterling. This particular style is great because it is a bit more casual, made of canvas and they Velcro so they are easy for him to put on. Nordstrom carries a great selection of Sperry shoes.
The sandals are so adorable and best part they Velcro on, no buckles or anything. With a skirmy baby, shoes that go on quickly are key.
I loved the pop of neon color and figured she could wear them all Summer.
Sizing wise, Frances is in a size four. I actually used the chart and measured her feet. If you have a new walker like I do these offer plenty of support for them.
Frances Moon's tuniccomes in 2 other colors as well. I kind of want to order the white one too, I love our turquoise one so much. Frances is wearing the size 1.5-2. I figure next year she can even wear it again as a shirt.
I also could not resist and bought both the kids Chuck Taylors. I used to love these as a kid. I think they are super adorable for the kids.
If you live in Charleston you are probably familiar with the baby/toddler line called Pixie Lily. If not I can't wait to introduce you to one of my favorite kids lines. I just adore this line that is designed locally by Leda Jackson. Sterling wore Pixie Lily all the time (sadly he has out grown it ) but now it is my favorite for Frances. I love that Leda's designs are timeless and have a vintage to feel to them. The Spring 2015 line is my favorite yet. I had to get a few pieces for Frances Moon!!
