Things I Want to Eat aka Food Porn

For a long time I have not had my same lust for food.  I was so nauseous in the beginning of my pregnancy that I wanted to eat nothing and on top of that too tired too cook. We have eaten alot of cereal and frozen food (think bad frozen food like bagel bites and pigs in a blanket)  around here lately.  I finally feel like I am slowly starting to feel like myself again (thank you second trimester) and I want to get back in my cooking routine.  Cooking and food make me happy, its as simple as that.  Here are a few things I have had my eye on lately that need to be cooked asap in the Mason House.

What have you been cooking lately?  What should I add to my must cook list??

Yummm this all looks so delicious! I felt awful for the first 18 weeks or so of my pregnancy- I pretty much lived on pizza because it's all I could eat. It's the worst feeling- glad to hear you're feeling better.

This "Texas Caviar" is healthy, super flavorful and light. Would be great over brown rice, lettuce or alone! http://recentsomethings.blogspot.com/2013/05/weekend-highlights_28.html

We miiiiiight have the same palate. Seriously. I love anything with cinnamon, avocado on top of everything, greek anything, and caramel and sea salt. Omg. Yesterday I had a grilled pesto chicken sandwich with mozz and tomato and it was TDF.

Yum!

I'm like you, and I could eat Mexican or Greek-style foods pretty much every day. But the one thing that I constantly crave and never tire of for my lunches is this Asian salad: http://thecozyapron.com/cozy-cameo-asian-style-brown-rice-salad-a-salad-for-modern-times/

I sub in edamame for the peas, since that makes more sense to me. Chicken, bok choy, carrots, edamame, orange, and then of course, I top mine with sriracha too. Keeps for days in the fridge! If I'm feeling lazy, I will get many of the ingredients already prepped for me by buying them at Whole Foods.

That chopped BLT one would be good except switch out the feta and use Bleu cheese or Gorgonzola! And I have been loving these things lately! Mediterranean chickpea salad, southwest chopped salad with the tasty cilantro lime dressing, Balsamic Glazed Steak Rolls and Watermelon Salad... recipes below!

The dressing is what makes this!

And then a watermelon salad... watermelon, cilantro, red onion, lime juice and avocado! HEAVENLY!
