I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter Weekend. I know we certainly did. It was a good weekend to reflect. Part of our sermon on Sunday was discussing stressing over insignificant life events and what a waste of time that is and I have to agree, it is so true. Life is too short to worry about insignificant petty things. I have so much to be thankful for and we could not have asked for a more beautiful Easter Sunday to thank God for all our blessings.
On to our weekend:)
Thursday night, my last night in Charlotte we had a girls night out. My birthday and my sisters' birthday fall exactly one week apart so we always try to celebrate together.
We ate dinner at Roosters and it was delicious.
Their mac and cheese is always a favorite and this time we tried the Duck Confeit Flatbread it was awesome.
I wore a birthday gift from my parents.
Friday we got back in town in time for dinner with Daddy! We decided to do our Taco Night since we missed it Wednesday. Matt knew I was tired so he cooked and plated everything beautifully I might add:) Such a treat.
For dessert we had strawberry pie. Friends if you ever see a strawberry pie at Publix buy it!! It is so freaking good! Our whole family loves it!
Saturday was spent unpacking. While in Charlotte I bought this cool vintage coffee table at Slate Interiors. I just love her in our space. I had been wanting a round two tier table so it was love at first site:) Our azaleas are in full bloom so cut a few for our den.
Saturday night we went to party at our good friends. They had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids and a mini bottle hunt for the adults which I thought was hilarious and a pretty sweet idea.
. I wore my fringe top which I love! My fringe obsession continues
The Easter Bunny arrived Sunday Morning. Sterling was super sneaky and got up before us and went thru his basket. I found him in the den in all his glory:)
Frances was clearly half awake and not amused with her basket.
Matt decided to test our their bubbles while feeding them Reeses Eggs:)
Sugar high all day.
Sunday Sterling and I went to church together. Frances Moon is teething like crazy and no fun for anyone to be around so Matt stayed home with her. I always love one on one time with Sterling. It was a special Easter for us:)
We headed to our frineds house for a fun brunch after church. I brought Tortelini Pasta Salad.
Several of you wanted the recipe and it is so easy:
Cheese Tortellini (2 packages)
diced cherry tomatoes
Diced cucumber
sliced red onion
feta cheese
fresh parsley optional
Good Seasonings Italian Dressing (the powder kind mixed per directions)
Cook tortellini according to the package and drain. Mix all and toss with dressing.
We took the obilgatory family photo at brunch.
A few of my favorite ladies.
Sterling would not sit still for a photo but snapped one of this lady.
Have a great week!
