Twine and Twig: Line You Need to Know About

Don't you love finding locally created lines that are truly awesome?? I am so excited to introduce you guys to an incredible jewelry line, Twine and Twig.  This line is created by two sisters in Charlotte,  Elizabeth Stafford White and Jacquelyn Stafford Buckner,  and it is amazeballs.   Their love for the outdoors inspired this natural and organic line of necklaces
How adorable are Elizabeth and Jacquelyn?

Twine and Twig was just recently featured at the Garden and Gun Jubilee here in Charleston. Each Twine and Twig piece is one of a kind, handcrafted and designed by Elizabeth and Jacquelyn. Each necklace is hand tied with their signature suede strap, and features unique and naturally sourced eco-friendly materials from regions throughout the world.

They have several different necklace types: shells, tips, horse hair tassels, teeth and spines.  You can see some of the different styles below.

I have two of the necklaces and just adore them.  They are the perfect unique piece to toss on with a plain tee or sweater.  I own a tip and a shell necklace and love them equally.  They are such statement pieces and I love that.

Side note- yes these picture were taken in a parking lot, Sterling's school parking lot if you are curious.  Keeping things real this Momma doesn't have time for exotic backgrounds, but I wanted you to see how the necklaces looked with my whole outfit.

Chopped Italian Salad

Why is it that salads are better when they are chopped?   I just love a good chopped salad.   This one is really awesome, even Matt commented how good it was and of course he was less than thrilled when I told him salad was all we were having for dinner.   But he agreed it was one of the best salads we have made yet.   The flavor combos are awesome together.  The fresh mozzarella and salami were my favorite parts.  You could even do pepperoni instead of salami if you prefer.  Heck I might even do pepperoni and salami next time!   Next time I will also only use one garlic clove in the dressing it was a bit too garlicky for us- like we both got in bed with stank breath.
Otherwise everything was just perfect. This would be a great salad for entertaining because it looks so pretty before you toss it together.  I assembled ours that morning and let it sit in the fridge til dinner time and tossed it together then and added the dressing.  A delicious, healthy, fresh salad.
Enjoy!

Obsessions

My friend Katie picked up this silk tee last week while were shopping and now I am convinced I need it too.  One it is leopard and you know I love animal print, two it is the most perfect loose silhouette tee.  It is something you could throw on all the time and feel cute in it.
It also comes in this floral version which I equally love.

|| THE COURTNEY BIB||
Please tell me I am not the only one obsessed with Courtney Kerr??  Love her and her reality show.  I am in love with this necklace, appropriately named after her,  pretty sure I need it.

|| GIGI NEW YORK JEWELRY ROLL||
Since I received my planner I have been obsessed with the Gigi New York website, love everything on there.  I travel to Charlotte frequently and don't ever have anything great to pack my jewelry in when I travel.  This case would be perfect. It comes in so many great colors!

Tkees are by far my favorite flip flops.  You better believe I am ordering these for Spring.  Neon + Snakeskin is the perfect combo.

I am so dreaming of spring and florals.  This skirt is perfection, love the colors and print.  I would pair it with a plain white or black tank and sandals for a simple summer outfit!  Or wear it now with a leather jacket.

Love the classic neutral colors of this blouse but the cross cross detail makes it standout.

This little girls dress is amazing.  Love the dot print and style.  I may have ordered this in a 2t to save for Frances Moon I love it so much:) Use code GAPSAVE to get 40% off making this dress a true steal.

I have been into venturing away from my all white serving platters lately.  It is fun to have something unique and different.  This one is gorgeous.  You could do a kick ass cheese plate on here.

Monday's Musings

Happy Monday. How was everyone's weekend? Friday night Matt took Sterling to the Monster Truck show with a few other dads and Sterling's friends.  It went pretty well til Matt said a fire breathing mechanical dragon came out and Sterling freaked out and started crying.  Maybe a touch too young for the Monster Truck show this year:)

Meanwhile Frances and I had a nice ladies night in.  We watched a Lifetime movie that was actually really good and enjoyed a cheese plate for dinner.  Not gonna lie it was nice to have the house to myself!

This weekend I tried out a new healthy breakfast.  A quinoa yogurt bowl.  Basically all I did was smash some blackberries in regular plain Greek Yogurt.  Then I topped it with cooked quinoa, slivered almonds, sunflower seeds, fresh blackberries, mint and a drizzle of honey.  It was really filling and delicious.

We made our Braised Beef Tacos  (recipe here) for our company Saturday night and they amazing again.  I used the leftover beef the next day to make a Braised Beef Quinoa bowl.

My sister gave us the most awesome gift basket from Burts Bees Baby.  It came with bibs, onesies, pjs, a blanket,  and a hat.  I have to say I am obsessed with everything in it.  The onesies and pjs are my favorite, they are so soft and I love the pattern.  This would make such a great shower gift for someone.

This is Frances in the onesie and the pjs  You can order a three pack of the onesies Here.  I am definitely ordering more they are my favorite!

I love Monday nights now that the Bachelor has started back up, it is my guilty pleasure.  I have to admit I was not thrilled when they picked Juan Pablo as the new bachelor but he grew on me a little last week.  But lets be real I watch it more for the crazy ladies than him.  I heard this season had the highest rating yet, so I guess Juan has some fans.

I ran out of eyeliner and was at Target the other day and decided to buy a cheap kind just to tide me over til I could buy my more expensive kind.  I picked out this Sonia Kashuk twist up eyeliner and actually I really like it.  Worth the money for $7.  Not sold online so look for it for in your store.  Has anyone else every used any Sonia Kashuk beauty products?  I am tempted to try her eyeshadows.

This weekend Sterling said to me " I wish God would make Rufus real."  I love his sweet soul.  Rufus goes everywhere with us and gets an outfit change each morning from Frances's closet.  Rufus is one well dressed monster.

Have a great start to your week!
