I wanted to pop in let you know that the Tory Burch Fall Event started today.
If you have had your eye on any of her purses, shoes or clothing now is a great time to buy.  It is a tiered promo so the more you spend the more you save.  The sale runs thru Monday October 5 but I do find sizes go fast in popular items.

Totally obsessed with this long sleeve version as well!
This would be a great tee shirt to toss on with jeans.  Love the fall colors.

Adore this print and the style
I am loving so many of the new purses out this season.
It reminds me so much of Chanel.

Also love this Block T Large Tote
It comes in such great colors for Fall.

I own this in the tan color and love it.  It is nice because you can wear it as a shoulder bag or cross body.

Kiawah, The Andell Inn And Freshfields Village Recap

We live only about 30 minutes from Kiawah yet I rarely venture out there unless we take our boat to the beaches out there.  So when Freshfields Village and The Andell Inn organized a blogger night and invited a few of us girls to explore and spend the night I was really excited.   Kiawah is just so serene and beautiful.

The Andell Inn may just be one of the most gorgeous hotels ever.  They were just recently voted Top 10 Hotels of 2015 in Southern Living Magazine.    The minute I walked in I knew I would love it there.
Interior perfection, right??
The hotel had such a glamorous vibe.  I loved all the fur pillows.
I also thought the antler heads were very cool.

The outside is just as cute.  It sits over looking a lake and everything is just so green and lush.

My room or should I say suite was beautiful.  It would be a great place to bring your kids because there was so much room.  I really liked that it had a full size fridge and oven.   There is a grocery store within in walking distance so if you wanted to buy groceries and cook in your room you could.

Ready to head out for fun night shopping at FreshFields Village.
Of course we had to snap a picture on the porch swing.  The best part about some of these blogger events is a night with some of your favorite friends.

We started out at at Hedges an adorable restaurant at Freshfields.
They had some delicious nibbles and snacks for us.
Then it was off to walk around Freshfields and explore the shops.  There are so many cute shops at Freshfields but my favorite was The Resort Shop.
They carried so many of my favorite lines and even hosted a Mara Hoffman trunk show for us.  I loved this shift dress
I ended up buying this dress that I shared Monday.  Ashley and I both bought this we loved it so much.  It does run on the large side so size down, I am wearing XS.

The Lily store was a popular stop for all the girls.
I loved this giant painting behind the register.
I bought the cutest Giraffe outfit for Frances.  She wanted to put it on immediately when I got home.

Roberta Roller Rabbit just recently opened out at Freshfields, there is also a location here in Charleston on King Street.  I love all her patterns and tunics.
All the girls that came out for the weekend.
Tara, Erin, Vendita, Annie, Ashley, Andrea, Chloe, Caycee, Me, Bethany, and Dannon.
Picking out jammies to bring back to all our kids.
We had to sit down to look through all the cute patterns and sizes.

I ended up buying the kids matching pjs at Roberta Roller Rabbit.  They are beyond adorable!!

We ended the night at Vincents Soda Shop.  It felt like you were back in time.  They had the most delicious sundaes.  I had the peanut butter blast and it was so tasty.

Enjoying our dessert.

We stopped by the Porch Bar at The Andell Inn for a nightcap.  I ordered the Skinny Dip and it was so good.  I loved the combination of tequila and cucumber and then the spice from the cayenne salt.
If you are out at Kiawah The Porch Bar is a great place to stop for a drink.  You can sit inside or outside on the deck which had killer views.

The next morning I was kid free so you would think I would sleep in but of course I woke up bright and early.  It was nice to sit and quietly drink my coffee with a gorgeous view.

It was a rainy day when we left and it would have been so nice to sit by this fireplace and read a good book but I was ready to see my babies.

Thank you to the Andell Inn and Freshfields Village for hosting us.  I had such a lovely time and will certainly be back again.
Next time I am bringing the kids and Matt because I know they would love it too!
I would like to note that our rooms were comped but I was not paid to write this post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Under $100.

I always love browsing the new arrivals on sites.  Shopbop just did a bunch of new mark downs and there are so many other great buys on other sites under $100.

This dress was just reduced as part of the Shopbop sale.  I have been loving Free People lately.  The line is not too expensive and I really like the boho feel. This also comes in a pretty midnight blue color.

This comes in 3 different color patterns.   I would wear this with a white tee and jeans or leggings + booties.

I actually ordered this in the olive color.  Can't beat the price.
It comes in 3 other colors.

This reminds me a lot of Rebecca Taylor but a fraction of the price!

This was also just reduced as part of the shopbop sale. Comes in navy and ivory and I love both colors.

I mentioned this turtleneck a few weeks ago but trust me you want this.  It is a great loose fit and so soft and comfy.
LOVE these boots and they come in 3 different colors.  They look way more expensive than they are.
Really digging the pattern and size of this scarf.

I reecently got a distressed pair of Blank jeans and they are awesome!  I love this new wash they just came out with.

These were just releases online and I am sure they will sell out.  Our store had limited sizes.  I own these in the leather not suede version and love them!!

This looks just like Vince to me.  BB Dakota does a great job with affordable jackets.

If you are cardholder you can take 40% off all new purchases. Use code THANKYOU.

I just love the red pattern on this. Would look awesome paired with a vest and booties.

This was just reduced and it is the perfect blush color.
I have a blush cross body I carry all the time.
This looks so incredibly soft and comfy.  A great little casual top.

The Ultimate Veggie Sandwich + Favorite Knives

Meet my new favorite lunch.   I just adore a good veggie sandwich.  If a restaurant has that on their lunch menu I usually order it.  I decided it was time to try and create my own.  I tried this out several different ways but this was my favorite combo.  You really need the flavors of the pepper jack cheese and humus to make this sandwich pop.  Lately I have been loving the Roots lima bean hummus, so that is what I used for this sandwich.  But use your favorite hummus and any combo of veggies you have on hand.  I think this would also be great with sliced bell pepper and sprouts.
The warm toasted bread with melted cheese, creamy hummus and crisp veggies is a killer combo.

A legit veggie sandwich that will keep you satisfied.

|| U L T I M A T E   V E G G I E  S A N D W I C H ||

- 2 slices multi-grain bread ( I like Ezekiel or Eureka Organic Bread)
- 1 slice pepper jack cheese
- hummus ( I used Roots Lima Bean)
- Tomato sliced
- Cucumber sliced
- Red onion thinly sliced
- Grated Carrot (I use my cheese grater for this)
- 1/2 avocado sliced and drizzled with lemon juice

Toast the bread with the pepper jack cheese about 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bread toasted.  Remove from oven and spread on the hummus.  Layer on veggies and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Enjoy!

I also wanted to talk about chopping veggies and what knives I use.  I had a reader request wanting to know how I chop everything so finely and what knives I use.  Chopping vegetables can be the most difficult thing without proper knives.  I used to think it was ridiculous to pay a lot of money for knives.  In fact I never really had good knives until about 2 years ago.  It was my brother in law and sister who introduced me to Global knives and they seriously changed the way I chop. I asked for some for Christmas 2 years ago and have been hooked ever since.   They make it so easy and effortless.  They really help chop everything more precisely.

Now be prepared these knives are not cheap but honestly you don't need a ton of them.  I have 3 good ones that I use.  Not that I would not like to add more to my collection one day but these get the job done.
This is not sponsored at all, I just really love Global Knives.  Occasionally you can get lucky and find them at Homegoods but they are pretty hard to find there.

I really like this 3 piece set. and it is on sale for 50% off right now.  It is a great started set to let you try out 3 different knives.

If you want to start smaller this 2 piece set is also great and also on sale
Use code FREESHIP to get free shipping on all the knives at Sur La Table.

If you want to just try one knife first, I really like this one.  The size is great for chopping most everything.
