Scenes From Our Weekend

I am kind of in denial this is the last week in September.  It marks two months until Frances Moon's birthday and 3 months until Christmas- yikes!

Thursday night I had a dinner out with some girl friends.
My off shoulder blouse is finally back in stock in all sizes!  I am in size XS.
My earrings are 25% off til midnight tonight with code YESPLEASE!

We tried out Harold's Cabin a new restaurant on Congress Street.
I wanted to love it because the menu was mainly farm to table vegetables but I honestly didn't.  It was not bad by any means it just didn't blow me away.   My favorite dish we had was probably the shisito peppers.  There was a gorgeous roof top garden you could walk up to with your drinks.

I got back the pictures from a recent Shop Buru photo shoot I did with Frances and love this
picture!  The skirt I am wearing is now back in stock too!

Friday we went to dinner at Ellis Fish Camp.  The kids love the outdoor space there and the views are gorgeous.

I wore my favorite tee shirt.  I think I have shared it in the white and green several times on here but never the black!  Currently on sale, 40% off and only $21.

Snapped a few pics before bedtime.
This sweater arrived in the mail this weekend.  I blogged about it last week and had to order it and I am glad I did.  The material is so soft, it is a great fit and under $100.   The gray is currently sold out but is still available in navy.

Saturday we went to the library and then to see Storks movie.  I loved the movie, so cute!  And please download The Lumineers Holding On. They played it at the end of the movie and I am now obsessed.

After the movie we went to a cool aquarium petting exhibit they did at our pool.  The kids loved it. If you watch my instastories you saw I was clearly freaked out by the snake.  Sterling loved it and wanted to touch every animal.

After that we hit up the pool.  When Marysia ran her end of summer clearance sale I could not resist these matching suits.

My cover-up is a pareo that I love because you can wear it so many different ways.  You can wear it as a sarong or dress or drape around your shoulders.

We made homemade pizza for dinner that was so good.  I swear by the Chef Boyardee Pizza Kit.  My grandfather used to use and we still love it.

Sunday was church in the morning.  Sterling insisted on wearing his flannel shirt and Frances Moon insisted on her Chuck Taylors.  We were running late so I lost both those battles:)

I love this dress because it is so versatile.  I wore it to church with heels then came home and threw on flip flops to run errands for a more casual look.
What I Wore:

Sunday is always when I prep lunches for the week.   This week is an Antipasto Pasta Salad. I will share the recipe if ya'll want it!

My sweet neighbors Rick and Gary brought me over the most gorgeous flowers and the kids homemade doughnuts from a brunch event they went to.  I am so excited to look at these gorgeous flowers all week.

The kids clearly loved their doughnuts.

Happy Monday!

Dressing Room Diaries | Loft

TGIF friends.  I am excited it is the weekend finally.  Not sure why but this has just been one of those weeks that has dragged by.  We don't really have any plans this weekend either which is nice.  The kids want to see that new Stork movie so we may do that one day.

Today I want to start a new series called Dressing Room Diaries.  My sister kind of inspired this series.  She works in an office full time and doesn't have the time like I do to go shop, so my mom and I frequently shop her.  She is easy because she usually always likes the same stuff I like.  While I am out shopping I always take pics in the dressing room and text them to her to see if she likes how it looks on.  That way she can see how it fits and if she wants me to buy it for her or not.

That is what this series will be.  I will weed through the stuff in the store and try on what I think are the best buys and show you guys how they fit.  I will probably do this every few weeks.  If you have a request for a store you would like me to feature shoot me an email or leave a comment!

Today is all about Loft.  A store I have really come to love lately.  The prices are great and if you dig you can find some really cute stuff.  Right now everything is 30% or 40% off if you have a store card.   Don't forget to use code SHOPSMART when you check out.
Below are the items I tried on, I tried to denote sizing and fit.

When I put this sweater on I knew it was a keeper.  The material is so nice.  It is lightweight and so soft.   This also comes in a silver gray color as well that I really wanted but my store didn't have my size.  I am wearing the XS. It ran slightly on the large side.

This sweater was so cozy.  It is a bit too thick for here in Charleston.  We don't get a ton of really cold days so I wasn't sure how often I would actually wear it.  If you live somewhere with lots of cold weather this is perfect.  I am wearing the XS.  Honestly this would be perfect just to toss on over lounge clothes at home too.

This dress would be perfect for work or church.  I like the shift style and geometric pattern.   I am wearing the small, it runs pretty TTS.

I really liked the loose flirty fit of this dress.  The pop of orange would be great for any of you Clemson fans.  I am wearing a size small.  I would pair this with a long necklace and booties.

I love the loose oversize fit of this poncho sweater.  It is a thin lightweight knit which is perfect for right now.  I would wear it with skinny jeans and booties.  You could also wear it with leggings too because it is fairly long.  I am wearing the XS, runs on the large side.

I really liked this pale pink color.   This was a thicker sweater material but not bulky.   I am wearing a size small.  It also comes in navy.

This and the first pink sweater were probably my two favorites.   I am sucker for a blouse and I especially love the print on this one.   I am wearing a size small.  I would pair it with jeans but it would be great for work paired with black or cream slacks.

For fun I tried it on with the matching skirt.  This is not an outfit I would normally wear but it was cuter on than I thought.  I love the idea of the matching pieces for a work wardrobe because you can also wear each piece separately or together.  I am in a size 4 in the skirt, it runs TTS.

I am always a sucker for a white blouse.  This one is fully lined and I liked the peplum style and textured stripes.  It was very wrinkly in store so would probably look better steamed.  I am wearing a small.

I actually wore my stripe peplum top to the store yesterday.  I brought my receipt back to get a price adjustment and I was so happy when my new total was $16 for this tee!  Loft will always do a price adjustment if it is within 7 days.  I can't say enough great things about this tee.  Here it is styled with shorts and jeans.  I am wearing a size small.

I love the colors in this blouse for Fall and the fact that it is a bit longer.  I think it would look great with black skinny pants too.

This is another keeper that I took home with me.  I really liked the ruffled detail and it is made of the softest chambray material.  I am wearing a size small.  The XS fit but I liked that the small was a bit longer.

I always love a lace blouse and this navy is perfect for Fall.  It does not come lined or with a camisole so you will need one of your own.  I am wearing the XS.

Let me know what stores you would like to see next!  You can shop all these looks below too:)

Thoughts For Thursday

Lots of random stuff today!
I have mentioned Dellz on here a few times before but it is one of my favorite spots to pick up lunch.  They have so many amazing veggie and vegan choices- and meat too.  I usually get the black bean hummus wrap but I just found out they will make any wrap into salad.  Since I have been trying to cut back on carbs this salad has been my jam.  It is so good.  If you go order the Hummer as a salad or wrap- both are delish!  Btw I am working on an updated Charleston Recs post because so many new restaurants have opened since my last post:)

This was yesterday. Total chaos all day.  They both fought all day and told me a million times how bored they were.  I made it til 5 but immediately poured a large glass of wine.

Glennon's new book is amazing so far.  I am 2 days in and halfway through.  She has such a gift as a writer.  Oprah recommends it too, so you know it's good.

I finally had the chance to stop in the new Club Monaco this week.  I love the color palette there, so many pretty things.  I am so excited Charleston finally has one- next we need a Zara!

Two items in my shopping cart right now at Nordstrom.  I want both but keep trying to decide if I like one better than the other.  I like that they seem light weight enough for the climate here.

Sterling lost another tooth last night, I think this makes 6!  His top three are all missing now.  We were joking last night about how he was going to chew with all his missing teeth.
Sterling wrote the tooth fairy the sweetest note.  It made my heart melt.  I snapped this picture this morning before he woke up.
How adorable is this deer dress??  Frances picked it out at the Progeny Pop-Up Shoppe last weekend.  I love her sparkly silver natives so much I am ordering her the gold next!

The Tata Harper Honey Blossom Face Mask is so good.  I am a huge fan of her resurfacing mask, and this one is just as good.  It is limited edition so get one while you can!  It leaves your skin super soft and glowing.
I alternate between this one and my Beauty Counter Charcoal Mask.  Both are awesome.  I like the charcoal one more for detoxing my skin and helping with acne and the Tata Harper one is great for moisturizng your skin and leaving it hydrated.

Loft is currently offering 30% off everything or 40% off if you have a LOFT Card.
This is my favorite top I have purchased from there lately.  Use code SHOPSMART.  I am wearing a small in the tee.
I have these items in my cart but I may swing by the store today to try them on in person.

The Tory Burch Fall Event just started too.  Spend $250 and you can save 30%.  Use code FALL16.
These are top on my list to buy.  I love the pink/blush color!

Can we please discuss Brangelina.  I hate to say I am not surprised but I am not.  I can only wonder what Jennifer Aniston is thinking.  There have been so many funny posts about the break up but this was my favorite.

I have the itch to re-do our hall bathroom.  I definitely want to do wallpaper and something kind of funky.  These are a few I LOVE.

Have a great Thursday!  Hurray for one day til the weekend.

Taco Pizza Rolls + Liketoknow.it

Tacos and Pizza are two of my all time favorite foods so this recipe was beyond a winner.   These were not only easy to make but so delicious.  You can pile on any toppings you want but I kept it fairly simple with just fresh tomatoes, lettuce and sour cream.  I served the kids theirs plain because, duh they don't like veggies on tacos or pizza.  These reheat fine too, we ate them 2 days in a row.
I highly recommend making your own taco seasoning.  I included the recipe we always use, it is so much better than the packaged kind.  You can double or triple the batch to have extra on hand too.

I also wanted to let y'all know I finally updated my recipes tab, I had several people contact me about trying to find recipes and I realized I was about 3 months behind.  All recipes are now on there!
Enjoy!

|| T A C O   P I Z Z A   R O L L S ||

- 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (I used the pillsbury brand)
- 1 pound ground beef
- taco seasoning - see below for the recipe I use
- 1 package shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- toppings | tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, sour cream, jalapenos

Cook ground beef.  Add in taco seasoning and let simmer until the liquid is gone.
Roll the pizza dough out on a counter.  Sprinkle the cooked ground beef and cheese evenly over the dough.  Then start at one end and roll up as tight as you can.  It will be messy mine was not pretty but once it cooks it doesn't matter.
After you have rolled it into a log take a really sharp knife and slice into one inch rolls.  Place on a greased baking sheet.  Bake at 375 degrees 10-15 minutes.
Remove from oven and assemble with toppings.

| TACO SEASONING |
This makes enough for 1 pound of ground beef.  Just add one cup of water + this mixture.

1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

If you look at the top header of my blog I have a new tab called liketoknow.it.  I know some of you have had issues getting your liketoknow.it emails and some of you are not signed up for liketoknow.it.  This way you can shop any and all of my instagram liketoknow.it posts.  You don't have to wait for an email you can always head to this tab and click on the outfit to shop.  I also now have a live feed on the right side bar too.
My instagram is @snoopnattynat for those who don't follow me.

If you not familiar with liketoknow.it it is a really cool way to shop instagram posts.   First you sign up HERE.  All you have to do is enter your email address, then any time you like my photo with a liketoknow.it link or anyone else's for that matter you will receive an email with all the items and links to shop them.  I like to receive my emails right away because often items sell out fast but if you don't want the emails right away you can change your settings to once a day, once a week, or whatever suits you.  It is so easy and makes shopping really easy!

So here are a few of my recent posts- most of them from the dressing room:)

This blouse is now an extra 40% off, no code needed!  I am wearing the size small.
