Twinkle, Twinkle!

So, most of you voted for the Parker Sequined Dress.

I haven't bit the bullet and bought it yet because I am having a hard time justifying spending $350 on a dress I know I will probably only wear a handful of times. But, that being said, I still want it really bad. I love it and think about it everyday. If only I had some fab New Years plans with a place to wear it! It got me thinking about other ways to add some sparkle to my closet for less than $300. Sparkle that might be more versatile and get more wear than a dressy dress. Here is what I found....

VELVET EMELLA SEQUIN CARDIGAN $185
I feel like this a sequin piece you could wear all the time. The color is gorgeous. It would be great with jeans and super cute with a dress like it's pictured. (Btw what is up with this models face? She looks drugged out!)

EUGENIA KIM SEQUINED HEADBAND, $98
How cute is this sequined headband? A great way to spice up an otherwise boring outfit.

PARKER METALLIC SEQUIN, $264 BLOUSE
I have been eyeing this blouse forever. Piperlime is always sold out of my size but I keep hoping they will get it back in stock. I like that it just has a hint of sequins. I would wear this blouse all the time.

JCREW SEQUIN STRIPE TEE, $59.50
Great casual tee, even better price.

BANANA REPUBLIC BLAIR JEWELED BALLET FLAT, $110
I wear ballet flats daily because I am so tall. These would add the perfect sparkle to any outfit. Side note- I love me some Banana Republic shoes. For the price they hold up well and are so comfortable.

BANANA REPUBLIC BRYNN BOW BALLET FLAT, $110
These are so adorable to me. The bow is perfect for the Holidays.

JUICY COUTURE SEQUINED SCARF, $148
Since I have been on such a scarf kick lately this scarf really appealed to me. A great way to accessorize with sparkle!

VELVET JANZIA SEQUIN TOP, $163
I love this top so much. I picture it with skinny jeans for a night out!

TRINA TURK MELODY SILK BLOUSE, $268
I started drooling when I saw this blouse. I love the art deco embellishments of the sequins. Such a unique blouse. This might be one the sequined item I add to my closet!

WINTER KATE GOLD SEQUIN DRESS, $397
I have to include one lust item out of the price range. I have stalked this dress forever since I saw Nicole Ritchie wearing it. It is the perfect, color, shape, everything in my book. If it ever goes on sale it's mine!

Anyone know of any other great sparkle items? Send them my way!

that was my issue when shopping for a dress for the auction. I really wanted a sparkly dress, the problem is when you wear it people notice which is great for the night of the event, then you feel like you can never wear it again. I did not want to spend 350 on a dress i might never wear again..either way the parker dress is fab

why don't you do Rent the Runway? They have lots of sequin dresses and I agree, you will only wear it once!

I do LOVE that dress!! But $350.00 I am thinking probably not worth it! On another note love the flats and defiantly think you should make those yours!!! lets do lunch this week!

The Brynn bow flat is a nice alternative to the Tory Burch Eddie bow flat that I have been drooling over for the holidays!

I love the J Crew flats. Also the J Crew outlet has some great sequined pieces at a fraction of the price. I think I may have also seen some sparkly dresses at Off 5th. Either way that dress is fab and perfect for the holidays.

OK..the picks here are amazing...loving each item more than the next...
I tend to be a "splurge" girl..at least once a season...so I am all "go for it" over here....but I totally understand...sequins are tough...they seem to heavy in the summer/spring months so you have limited wearability and they are so beautifully unforgettable, everyone remembers. Regardless...that gold NR mini is BEYOND FABULOUS! and would look incredible on you.
Happy week.

Love all the sparkle! I love the Parker blouse and could definitely see getting more wear out of it! With the dress maybe you can change it up later by adding a blazer and boots or adding leggings and flats for a night out.

I love the Parker dress! but I know how you feel about the price tag. Although, it would be an investment and could look so pretty hanging outside your closet.

A bit of sequins and studs make everything nice.

Seriously, that Parker blouse would be my pick for the $$$...it's so fabulous and you could wear that for just about *EVERYTHING*! You would totally get your money's worth (c: It's so stinkin' hard when you get hooked on something pricey...but every once in a while, it just might be worth it, right? (c:
