Designer Spotlight : Christina Jervey Jewelry

I wanted to start a fun new blog series called Designer Spotlight where I share some of my favorite jewelry designers.  I love hand crafted and hand made jewelry, it is such an incredible talent and art.  I always love finding new designers so thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites.

First up is a local Charleston based Jewelry Designer- Christina Jervey.  I was first introduced to Christina after I had Frances Moon.  She was so sweet and sent me the most beautiful Moon necklace after Frances was born- that I still wear all the time!  It is just one of those pieces that looks good with anything you are wearing.  Plus it holds such special meaning for me since Moon is Frances' middle name, I hope to pass it on to her one day.

I then fell in love with her jewelry line. It is so simple, delicate, and feminine, and I just adore it.  Christina designs and hand makes each piece herself,  so they are all so organic and unique.
Another favorite of mine are these hammered bangles and the cage ring.  What I like most about her jewelry is they are great everyday pieces you can mix and match in with your other jewelry.

I have been on the hunt for some earrings for everyday wear and these ARROW STUDS are the perfect thing!  They are dainty and so cute.

Her rings are also gorgeous.  I tried a few on so you all could see how they actually look on!  They look great together or alone.

and here I am wearing the COLLAR NECKLACE + HAMMERED BRACELETS

Isn't her jewelry just amazing?  I always love supporting local talents and Christina is one insanely talented lady!  Lucky for you guys Christina has graciously offered 15% off her entire site thru the weekend.  Use code DBDD15 at check out.

You can shop her whole site HERE.  Any of these would make awesome Mothers Day Gifts, which is right around the corner!  Below are a few of my other favorites from her site although I really love everything!

Happy Shopping!

If you know of any other jewelry designers you would like to see featured in this series or if you yourself are a jewelry designer and are interested in being featured shoot me an email at Nataliemason24@yahoo.com!

Today is the last day of the Shopbop Friends and Family sale.  Don't forget to use code INTHEFAMILY14 for 25% off your order.  Thanks to Amazon Prime my order already arrived and I highly recommend this Amanda Uprichard dress!  I was a good girl and just ordered one thing, trying to be selective and add pieces I will wear often to my closet and this dress is just that.

First of all Cobalt blue is like my favorite color ever and the fit of this dress is amazing.  I love the cut out detail the side.  It also comes in black which would be such a classic dress to own. So order this dress while you can with 25% off!

and to see how it looks on a real person and not a model:)
The color is even more vibrant in person!

The pictures don't do it justice it is even better in person trust me.  Such a great dress for any event!

NDM Style : Seeing Spots

In the words of the wise Jenna Lyons " As far as I am concerned, leopard is a neutral." and I could not agree with her more.  It is no secret,  I am a huge fan of leopard print (well really any animal print)!
This outfit makes me pretty darn happy because its time to wear white jeans and I am wearing leopard:)

I will say it again the Rag and Bone white skinny jeans are the best white jeans you will find.
They are flattering and not see thru and fit perfectly.  They run TTS.  I don't recommend going down a size in white jeans because you really don't want your white jeans too tight.

I am loving the Bablebar\ Nordstrom Earrings they were sweet enough to send me.  I thought I would wear them more for special occasions but actually love them for everyday wear to jazz up an outfit!
They are such a steal only $34- these would make super cute bridesmaid gifts too!

The Leopard blouse is pretty much perfection.  I love that is in lighter spring colors.  Rebecca Taylor makes the best blouses!  For those curious I am wearing a size 2 in the blouse, I find her blouses run on the large side.  It was just marked down so snag it while its on sale:)

My mom and I traded cross body bags, I have the blue and she has the gray, so it was fun to switch things up.  I am loving the gray embossed one it really goes with everything.   It comes in like 10 different colors too, an awesome everyday purse.  I love all my Gigi New York bags.

Of course I am wearing my favorite Dolce Vita Sandals again- I told you I love them and now they are on sale!  Locals stop in Thera M they have them in stock there,  that is where I bought mine:)

This is one of my favorite outfits for a night out with the girls or a day running errands!

Edamame + Avocado + Radish Salad

I came across this recipe on Pinterest awhile back and knew I had to make it!  It was so light and refreshing.  It would be perfect for a Summer Dinner or Picnic Party.  I will say it was best the first day I made it, it was not as good the next day mainly because the radishes got a bit soft and the avocado starts to go bad, so I recommend eating it the first day if possible. The flavors in the dressing were amazing- the ginger paired with garlic, honey, and fresh lime juice were just delicious.  Best part this is a super healthy salad no cheese or anything bad just all fresh ingredients so you can eat it guilt free!
Enjoy!

adapted via Joy the Baker

Serves 4 large or 6 small servings

1 16-ounce bag frozen shelled edamame, thawed
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons honey
Scant 1/4 cup seasoned rice wine vinegar
3 tablespoons olive oil
Juice of 1 lime
Pinch of salt and fresh cracked pepper
1/2 cup sliced green onion(about 4 onions)
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  8 radishes, sliced
1 ripe avocado, sliced

Bring about four cups of water to boil in a medium saucepan. Add edamame and boil for just a few minutes, until cooked through but still with a slight bite to them. Drain and allow to cool.

In the meantime, make the dressing.

In a small bowl, whisk together rice wine vinegar, oil, garlic, ginger, lime, honey, and salt and pepper. Whisk together until completely incorporated. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine cooled edamame, green onion, parsley, radishes, and a sprinkling of sesame seeds. Toss together. Add dressing to desired amount. It’s that easy!
