Happy Hour | Cocktails + Glassware

Ah Happy Hour, my favorite time of the day.  Who doesn't love unwinding after a long day?  Since we have a new glass cabinet in our kitchen it got me thinking about glassware and the glassware made me think of cocktails!  So I decided in honor of the weekend I would share some cocktail recipes paired with some cute glasses!
Just click on the name of the drink to take you to the recipe!

** Update all glassware links should be properly working now!**

I mean come on, how amazing does this rita look??  Although I might make my mini a double:)

I would serve these in
 Mingle Tumblers
How adorable are these small margarita glasses?  I just love the different colors.

and if you like a more traditional glass, I am always a huge fan of Juliska!  Their glassware is lightweight and not heavy which I really like.

I love a good Bloody Mary, especially with brunch.  this one looks insane!!  Adding bacon to anything is a good idea.

I love the idea of serving the Bloody Marys in these Tortoise glasses and they are on sale!  I am contemplating these for our new glass cabinet, I think the pop of tortoise would be cool.

Wade’s Bloody Mary Recipe

3 cups tomato juice
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons sweet and sour mix
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
3/4 teaspoon Tobasco sauce
1/2 teaspoon Tapatio, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon or more freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon horse radish (prepared)
1 teaspoon green olive brine
Celery salt (to sprinkle on top)
Coarse salt (for rim of glass)
Your favorite vodka
(makes 1qt. of mix)
Combine all of the ingredients, except the vodka and celery salt, by blending or stirring vigorously. Refrigerate until chilled. When you are ready to enjoy, use 1-2 ounces of vodka followed by the chilled bloody mary mix. Add bacon, pickled asparagus and a dash of celery salt for the best Bloody Mary you have ever tasted! the best bloody mary

I am a huge fan of anything involving tomatoes! Sun dried or oven roasted, cooked or raw, red sauce, ketchup, anything tomato… you name it. So, I am particularly fond of a good Bloody Mary. I have found that I really love when it involves a lot of goodies. A delicious beverage and a snack all in one! If you are looking for a new twist on an old cocktail, here you go!

I love this fun spin a bellini, plus the pale pink color is gorgeous.  These would be fun at a baby shower or engagement party.

What is not to love about these stemless flutes??  They are stunning with the gold detail!

These monogrammed stemless flutes are fun and would make a great wedding gift as well.

If you like stems I really like this set, a little different but so pretty and a killer price!

How refreshing does this cocktail look???
I love mint in any cocktail!

I have a set of glasses similar to these jungle ones that I just love.  They are so pretty for entertaining and perfect for this vodka lemonade:)
 also LOVE these zebra ones.

I love a spicy margarita, probably my favorite kind of margarita!

I just adore these glasses from West Elm, I actually just ordered the pink set since they are on sale!
These Rocco Glasses are also gorgeous, love the detail and on sale (only $24 for 6!)

I love a mint julep, they are festive and so fun.  Plus I love the fact that you can use your mint julep glasses as small flower vases= double duty.

I have the silver version above but I just love the idea of the copper ones!

SEVEN \\ MOSCOW MULE
My brother introduced me to this cocktail, it is one of his favorites and so easy to make.  Only three ingredients Ginger Beer, Lime, and Vodka.

The cups are the just the cutest things ever made of copper.
Hammered copper version if you prefer.

This is hands down one of my favorite drinks and I have to say my Dad makes the best one around.  The key is not too much vermouth- we actually do no vermouth, just olive juice and he hand stuffs the olives with quality blue cheese.

Of course I love these pink martini glasses!

I have actually never tried Lilet Rose before but I have heard it is so delicious.  I would sub vodka for the gin in this recipe because I don't like gin (too many gin and tonics in college and now I can't even smell it).  These would be perfect to serve at an Easter Brunch.

I love the idea of these old fashioned coups.  The gold dots add a fun spin to the glasses.

I love a cucumber drink in the summer it is so refreshing.  Once again I would sub vodka for the gin- they make a great cucumber vodka called Effen you could use for this drink.

These glasses are great because they are double duty, wine or cocktails.  Love the sleek look and gold detail.

These glasses are on the pricey side but man they are gorgeous. Love the colors.

Of course you need some cute napkins to go with your glasses:)  I am a sucker for a cute cocktail napkin!
