Thoughts For Thursday

Hello Thursday!

First of all I am so excited because tomorrow I am headed to Palmetto Bluff with two of my best friends.  We are having a fun girls weekend for Caycee's birthday.  Toyota is giving us a Camry to test drive for the weekend which should be fun.  I am sure I will be posting many pictures from our weekend, so follow along on instagram @snoopnattynat

I am so happy Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce started back this week.  I LOVE that show.

I got on the ball this year and decorated early for Christmas,  We have so much going on the next few weeks it is nice to have our decorations up and to enjoy them!  Our elf Elfie is back too:)

Tis the season for baking.  I can't wait to whip up some of my favorite oreo brownies for our friends.  I am thinking this year I may even buy the holiday oreos with the red filling for a more festive look. You can see my recipe HERE

Some of my Black Friday purchases have started to arrive and I am loving them.  These Vince booties make me swoon.  They are still on sale 50% off, not quite as cheap as when I bought them but still a great deal.

This Joie sweater was another Black Friday purchase.  I plan to pack it this weekend for my girl's trip.  It is so soft and I really like the frayed edge detail. It is currently 40 % off.

I tried to take a Christmas Card picture of the kids this week and let me tell you it was like pulling teeth.  I am starting to fear we may not get a good picture.  Although part of me is very tempted to use a crying picture.
Frances Moon's Dress is Little English

I have started making some progress in Sterling's room.  His new bedding arrived as did his print for over the bed.  I let him choose his bedding and picture and I was relieved it was something I actually liked- haha.
His surf picture is from Minted our new go to source for art.  Until tonight at midnight you can take 25% off with code CM2015.
Next up I need to paint his room.  Any suggestions for a good light gray paint color?  I probably won't paint til after the holidays but want to find the perfect color.

Rodney loves to sleep on our bed pillows.  I busted him the other morning like this.

Frances Moon's favorite thing to do in the morning is sit at my vanity and put on lipstick.  Yesterday she insisted she needed shades on too.

word.

Check out Sherwin Williams Repose Grey- it's what I used for our office/playroom. I tried a few other "greiges", like Pediment and On the Rocks, but one was too beige and the other too...cold. I love the Repose and get compliments on it all the time :)

I used Revere Pewter throughout by BM throughout my main floor which I absolutely love! For my little man's room I used Gray Owl, also by BM which has a blue tint and is perfect with his navy bedding and dark furniture. would recommend both in an instant.

I second the recommendation of BM Grey Owl. It is the perfect light grey. Emily Henderson also did a great blog post on the best grey paints you might want to check out.

Ben Moore "Calm" -- love it but it's definitely a VERY pale grey.

Benjamin Moore gray owl is one I use in kid's rooms a lot! For a lighter, brighter look, Crushed Ice by Sherwin Williams is a very pale true gray (no weird purple or blue undertones).

Look at Sherwin Williams Anew Gray and also Mega Greige if you want something darker. I have the Anew Gray in our main living areas. It's a warm gray and not too dark.

Have a fun weekend! Can't wait to see your outfit posts! I have the Joie cardigan sweater in tan and I LOVE it!
I love BM Wish. I used it for my kitchen and my daughters room.
Tree looks great and love the photos of the kids. Always so stressful to get the perfect one! Good luck! ;)

Where did you find the chair to your vanity? Details- notice them all!

We have "make-up" time each morning. An extra set of hands in my make-up bag is not always conducive to getting out the door on time.

We used Sherwin Williams Knitting Needles, it's a great grey! Not too light and not too dark

Steling's room is going to look amazing, I love that print he chose! I have been a huge fan of BM's Rodeo as a light gray. It's a really good true gray!

Designer Emily Henderson says BM Gray Owl is the "Ryan Goesling" of gray paint. http://stylebyemilyhenderson.com/blog/best-gray-paint-colors-according-to-ryan-gosling

Love those Vince booties!! For a griege color I love BM Revere pewter which I think you already have in your house and Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. For a true gray I love BM stonington gray or harbor gray. Where did you get that stuffed shark? We have a shark lover over here that would love that.

My kitchen cabinets are BM Galveston Gray. It is a beautiful, warm gray. My bathroom cabinets are Farrow and Ball Downpipe. It definitely has more blue in it than the galveston gray, but I love it too. We used it with white marble and blue/gray accents. It might be too dark on the walls, but it's worth a look. My main house color is BM Revere Pewter. You can't go wrong with it but it definitely reads greige instead of gray. Your kids are just gorgeous!!
