Scenes From Our Weekend

We had such a fun weekend catching up with so many of our friends from Charlotte at a wedding Saturday.   I have a mile long to-do list tackle today but I am ready!

Thursday night I headed out for a Cindo De Mayo party at Candy Shop Vintage.  I just adore Dierde, the owner.  She finds the coolest vintage jewelry and I love her rice beads.  I ended up going home with a navy and rose quartz pair.

Me, Dierde (the owner), Caycee and Annie.
I am wearing:
Friday I had lunch at brown Dog Deli.  It is one of my favorite lunch spots.  I love their Turkey, Brie and Bacon Croissant.
We had some good friends from Charlotte stay with us for the weekend.  My in laws kept the kids and our friends got in town Friday night just in time for happy hour.  We went to the yacht club and caught a gorgeous sunset.

Saturday morning I made the most delicious Spinach and Artichoke Egg Casserole.  I assembled it all the night before so then that morning all I had to do was cook it.  Everyone loved it.  I found the recipe HERE and highly recommend it.  I wanted a meat free casserole since Matt doesn't eat meat and we all agreed we almost liked it better with no meat because it was lighter and not so filling.
The boys went fishing Saturday and my friend Melissa and I headed to Xao Bao Biscuit for lunch.  She had always wanted to try it and it did not disappoint!
Our wedding started at 4:30 out at Middleton Plantation so we left around 3:30 to get there in time.  I just love Middleton Plantation, it is so gorgeous.
This is our friend Giordana, the bride being escorted by her father.   Her dress was perfection.
Matt and I after the ceremony.
Our friends Melissa and Adam who stayed with us over the weekend.  Mel and I have been friends since Junior high!

Every detail of the wedding was perfection.  It was seriously one of the most beautiful weddings I have attended.

It was a sit down dinner and every course was delicious.

I loved how beautifully plated everything was.

This is one of my best friends Lauren with Melissa and I.  We lived together after college for awhile and I miss her so much!  She just had a baby boy two weeks ago and was such a rock star!

Sunday was Mother's Day and I was so excited to see my babies after being away from them all weekend.
Sterling was so sweet to me all day.  He remembered I loved peonies and came home with two bunches and he and Matt went grocery shopping for me and cooked me dinner.

The kids really wanted to go to the pool so we took them.  The water was crazy cold though!  Matt was sweet and let me sit out on the side while they played.
That night we had the most incredible dinner.    Table runner is from Furbish Studio.
Wedge Salad + Kabobs + Crab Legs.

Have a great Monday!
