Favorite Healthy Meals from 2016

Confession I have way overindulged the past few weeks.  I am talking chips, dips, pizza, fudge, booze, Taco Bell- tis the season right??  I am scared of the scale.  I have been trying to workout some this week and eat fairly healthy but we have friends coming in town this weekend so I know the weekend will be filled with lots of good wine and food.
I always get inspired towards the end of a year to start fresh the next year with a healthy lifestyle especially eating.   I rounded up a few of my favorite healthy recipes from this year to get you started for 2017!

A Few Favorite Christmas Gifts + Recent Outfits on Sale

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!  We are still enjoying some downtime since the kids are out of school for the next week.  We had a great Christmas and I will try and share a few pictures later this week.

Today I wanted to share a few gifts that I received and LOVE!

These sneakers were a gift and I love them!  I am officially hooked on the slip on sneaker trend.  They are so comfortable and of course I love the blush velvet.  I would say to go up a half size as these run slightly on the small side.
I also really love this metallic version.  They are next on my wish list.

Sterling and Frances gave me this necklace for Christmas and it means so much to me.  Sterling said it looked just like my style:)  I have been wearing it alone but I think it would also look greta layered with a few thin, long gold necklaces.
Arm candy I treated myself to.  Sometimes you have to gift yourself right??  I mentioned this watch last week and I have really been loving having a watch.  It is nice not to have to dig my phone out to figure out what time it is.  It also comes in a version with a white face as well.
I have been wearing the thin gold and rose gold bracelets everyday, they are great alone or stacked.

Nordstrom just started their half yearly sale and so many great things are now on sale.
This Vince sweater was another Christmas gift and it is now 40% off. I am wearing the cinnamon stick color in size XS.  I wore it yesterday for some after Christmas shopping.

Christmas Eve I wore this velvet off shoulder top that is now only $23.  It also comes in black.
This blouse was not a Christmas gift but I did want to share because it is was just reduced again and now 60% off.  I own the black and white.  It is such a gorgeous blouse!  Vince can do no wrong in my book!  Sizing wise it runs slightly on the large side so size down, I am wearing a size 2.

My sister was sweet enough to give me this wine stopper and tea maker- she clearly reads my blog: and knows what I like)
The wine stopper is really gorgeous in person.
I am waiting till we get back to Charleston to open up and use this tea maker but I am so excited about it.  I drink iced tea everyday and I love the modern look of it.
I also received this Zella top in pink.  You may remember I have the black version.  It is perfect to toss on over your workout clothes.  Lightweight and really soft!   The black and white are basically sold out but the pink is in stock in all sizes since it is a new color and just released.

Lots of Ugg items are now reduced.

This Ugg set is not on sale but I wish I had seen it to give my sister for Christmas.  It makes such a cute gift with the eye mask and blanket.  Perfect for anyone who travels often.

Thanks to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.

Loaded Cheese Wafers + Ruffle Tee + Holiday Bling + Merry Christmas

TGIF and Happy almost Christmas!
Sterling and Frances Moon are so excited.  Every morning when they wake up they ask me how many days until Santa comes!  I for one am gonna be happy when Fred our Elf heads back to the North pole.  I have woken up in a panic several times because I forgot to move him.  and man I am tired of trying to think of creative ways to  place him around the house!  Last night my parents took over!

I wanted to share the recipe for an appetizer my mom made last night.  These little cheese crackers were so good and my mom said they were easy to make.  They are the perfect nibble for happy hour or a holiday party.

- 8 oz grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup crushed sour cream and onion chips
- 1 package bacon bits

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Let the cheese come to room temperature before mixing.  Mix together with hands.  Drop on parchment paper in small balls.  After they bake a few minutes pull from oven and flatten out with a fork.  Bake until brown.

They are great alone but if you want to jazz them up a bit you can serve them with a dollop of bacon jam on top.  This bacon jam is our favorite.  I bought a few jars out at Kiawah last year and my parents loved it so much they ordered more.

...........................................................
This was a recent outfit.   I ordered this tee and really like it.  With online orders you never know but I was pleasantly surprised with this one for the price-  only $24!  It comes in 3 other colors and is super soft.  I am wearing the US 6.

My earrings were a huge hit with my nephew Rutledge:)  i am planning on wearing them again tonight to a party.  They are super lightweight and not heavy at all.

I finally bought a watch.  It has been years since I wore a watch but I got the itch for one.  I knew I wanted a mesh band and this one is a great price.  It also comes in silver and with a white face.  I liked how flat the watch laid and that I could actually read the time!  You can still get the watch and my first two bracelets by Christmas Eve if you order by noon today.

Here is the watch with the white face.
The kids got to open a few early gifts from my Aunt and Uncle.  They were so excited:)  Sterling can never have too many legos, I swear that is all he asked for.
Frances Moon likes anything princess related.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas.
