Thoughts For Friday

Ahh It's Friday. I don't why but this week has seemed super long!  I am thankful for the weekend and some sun!! I have big plans to try and plant my vegetable garden this weekend weather permitting.

First I want to say thank you to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday on my blog or instagram.  Ya'll seriously made my day.  I felt so much love.  So far 35 ain't that bad!
My sister sent me a bottle of champagne that Matt and I enjoyed and my parents, my in laws and Matt all sent me flowers. I honestly cried when I came home to all the flowers, I just felt so blessed and loved.

Matt took the kids and I out to dinner for my birthday. It was chaotic but loved having the whole family with me to celebrate.  I thought about just Matt and I going alone but Sterling insisted he wanted to come help me celebrate, it was super sweet.

A few days later I went out for some wine and cheese with my girlfriends to celebrate. We had a blast like we always do.  We hit up the Avondale Wine Bar and enjoyed a delicious Rose and two cheese platters.

Outfit Details
The blouse arrived in my Finicky Filly Brown Box this week- stay tuned next week for a follow up on that!
The jeans are a new favorite.  I still love my white Rag and Bone jeans, but I wanted a fun distressed pair.  These DL1961's really suck you in and fit perfectly. I have worn them almost everyday this week.

This week I made quite possibly the best tuna salad ever.  I have to give my friend Liz credit, I found it on her blog, Beets and Bratwursts.  She always has the best recipes!  This tuna was outstanding full of so many fresh flavors!

Tuna Salad
Two or three 6 oz tins of albacore tuna packed in water
3/4 cup of light mayonnaise
1/2 chopped green onions
1/2 cup of chopped cucumber
1/4 cup of chopped fresh dill
1/4 cup of drained capers
2 TBS whole grain Dijon mustard
3 TBS of chopped fresh tarragon
2 TBS of chopped flat leaf parsley
Fresh cracked pepper
*Optional, add some toasted walnuts OR 1 chopped apple

Met with our neurologist again this week and got some great news.  The fluid around Frances Moon's brain went away on its on, so no need for a shunt to drain it.  Thank you for all your prayers, this is such a relief.

I took Sterling to see Cinderella this week and I think I loved it more than him.  It was magical and beautifully done.  I forgot what a beautiful message the book had in it about kindness.  I want to see it again and will definitely be buying the DVD when it comes out!

Has anyone watched Bloodline?  I keep hearing amazing things about it.  We are almost done with House of Cards and need a new show to start.

I picked up the cutest blouse at JCREW.  Pretty sure I will be wearing it often this Summer.  Runs large I am in size 2.

I need a new book to read!  Ya'll always have the best suggestions so tell me what to read next!
Speaking of books I just ordered the new Inspiralized Cookbook and this book on The Japenese Art of Decluttering.

I am officially obsessed with these pickles.  They are so amazing.  If you get lucky you can find them at TJMaxx, they also make an amazing Bloody Mary Mix as well.  The spicy ones are my favorite they pack some heat.

Have a great weekend!
These ecards made me laugh:)

We just started Bloodline and so far it's really good. Love that blouse you wore for your birthday dinner. I still need to try Avondale Wine and Cheese. I never think about going there! Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday!

Everything in this post is gorgeous - your flowers, champagne flutes, backsplash, birthday outfit (those jeans are everything), and precious babies!

My husband is obsessed with Bloodline. I haven't been able to muster the energy to start a new series.

Have a great weekend!

We're from FL and are super familiar with he Keys so we like Bloodline for the scenery and familiarity, but I think the writing and acting could be better.

Luke Chandler who stars in Bloodline went to my high school! My fiance has been out of town so I've been waiting for him to get home so we can start watching it!!! Also, is that champs flute Juliska?? I am thinking about registering for that line and I like your flute! I picked up some white jeans last week so I am looking forward to scowering your past posts for inspiration as to what to pair them with - Happy Belated Birthday!
