Scenes From Our Weekend

It has been awhile since I did a scenes from our weekend post because in all honesty our weekends have been kind of boring lately.  Lets be real, I am so tired most of the time and I can't drink so I am not the funnest person to be around.  Most weekend nights we are in bed by 9 reading- so lame I know!  We finally made some plans this weekend and had friends over for dinner.  Here are a few snapshots from our weekend.

My weekend started off right when my Rag and Bone booties arrived.  Ladies, these are even better in person.  I am now convinced I need a black pair too.  Get em while they are still on sale.  My mom got a pair too and loves them- great for all ages:)

Friday night we hit up the Yacht Club to let our wild man run around.

Saturday morning, Sterling and I did our favorite activity and hit up the Farmers Market.  He played on the jump castles for like an hour.  I was slowly dying in the heat.  This is his tough face.

I did manage to snag these gorgeous flowers.   I have been trying not to buy fresh flowers lately to cut costs but these were too good of a deal and too pretty to pass up.

That night we had our friends over for dinner.  Here is what I wore.

We cooked up some amazing food.  We did our Kabobs with Hash Brown Casserole and then I tried out two new recipes- which one do ya'll want for Recipe Wednesday??
Caprese Salad or BLT Dip.  Both were amazing.

We finally joined our neighborhood pool this year (thank you Mom and Dad) and hit it up for the first time this weekend.  The pool is nothing fancy no concession stand- but you can BYOB and it has some of the best views in town.  I think Sterling and I will be spending alot of time here this summer.

We spent alot of time walking around the block on Sterling's scooter.  This thing was the best investment ever, Sterling loves it and I like to think it counts as physical activity for him.  For all you locals I got it at Wonder Works- it comes in pink too.  Sometimes he gets lazy and makes me pull him as seen in the pic below.

Lastly I spent alot of time in this Vince Dress.   It is the perfect dress to throw on for errands.  I am starting to become obsessed with the Vince brand.  They are such nice pieces that fit really well. They are great pregnant or not.
This particular pattern is sold out but the same style dress is available HERE and HERE.

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, now it is back to the grind.

Things I Want to Eat aka Food Porn

For a long time I have not had my same lust for food.  I was so nauseous in the beginning of my pregnancy that I wanted to eat nothing and on top of that too tired too cook. We have eaten alot of cereal and frozen food (think bad frozen food like bagel bites and pigs in a blanket)  around here lately.  I finally feel like I am slowly starting to feel like myself again (thank you second trimester) and I want to get back in my cooking routine.  Cooking and food make me happy, its as simple as that.  Here are a few things I have had my eye on lately that need to be cooked asap in the Mason House.

What have you been cooking lately?  What should I add to my must cook list??

Thoughts For Thursday

Happy Thursday Friends. Is it me or has this week flown by??   I feel like Holiday weeks always do.

If you are looking for the perfect Summer dress for weddings or any occasion, I have found it.  While I was in Charlotte my mom took me shopping because we have two weddings coming up and I needed something bump friendly to wear.  I wanted something I could wear pregnant or not.  Because who wants to spend alot of money for something you can only wear for like 6 months while you are pregnant.  I always love Rebecca Taylor, one of my favorite lines and this dress is no exception.  It is so flattering and the pattern is even better in person!  It runs slightly on the smaller side, I went down a size even pregnant. I am in love with it, plus it is onsale right now.

Btw I think I am the last person to download the Beautiful Mess App, but I love it.  I could play on it for hours!  Here is the bump in the RT dress.

Did anyone catch the Bachelorette Monday night? I watched about half off it before Matt got tired of the men's antics and made me turn it off.  Overall I like Desiree, she is cute and seems genuinely nice.  Not sure about the guys yet, too early to make a call about them.  But alot of their entrances made me very uncomfortable.  I am happy this show is back on Monday evenings, it is my guilty pleasure.

Ever since seeing Julia from Gal Meets Glam in this ASOS shirt, I have been convinced I need to order it.  How cute is it- although I am pretty sure she makes every outfit look cute.  It looks like it would be a great maternity top as well.

I just checked out the most fabulous cookbook from the library this week.  It is filled with so many amazing vegetarian recipes and it has pictures for every recipe which I think is so helpful!  I like this book so much I want to check out the other River Cottage Cookbooks.  Highly recommend if you love veggies.

I am loving this loose side pony tail.  Such a great look for Summer.

I am obsessed with these Samudra pouches.  My friend Katie has a similar one and uses it for diapers and wipes in her purse and I think it is such a chic idea.  Thinking I need one for the new baby.  They would also be great to store snacks in for older kids.

Have a great Thursday Friends!  We have a fun day with a little photo shoot of my little man (who is growing up way too fast and I want to capture this sweet age) and playgroup.
