Thoughts For Friday

Yay for the weekend!

This week I was fnally able to try 167 Raw.  It was so good and incredibly fresh. Plus just a cool little lunch spot.  They also sell fresh seafood to take home and cook yourself.

The homemade chips and guacamole were so good.  I had the crispy oyster taco and grilled fish taco, both were on point.  I also was able to try the lobster roll and scallop po boy and both were incredible.

Several of you asked about my Equipment Dress and what it looked like on.  Runs TTS, I am in a small.  It is light and airy and super comfortable.
You can take 30% off the dress with code FRNFAM2!

I just love the floral print (and rose).
I just ordered this blouse too, already on sale plus additional 30% off with code FRNFAM2.  Total is  under $100.

How cute are Sterling and Frances before school this week?  I can't get over how much they look alike these days.

This blouse is my new jam.  I am thinking of ordering another color, I love it so much.
Currently on sale plus extra 30% off with code THEBEST.
Runs large, order down a size.  I am wearing a 2.

Made the easiest most delicious lunch yesterday | Greek Mini Pitas
Split Mini Pitas in half.  Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper and sesame seeds.  Bake at 350 about 10-15 minutes until crispy.  Mix diced cucumber and cherry tomtaoes and drizzle with olive oil and red wine vinegar.  Scoop the cucumber-tomato mix on the pitas and top with feta and fresh mint.

This bacon jerky from Trader Joe's is the bomb.
Go buy like 4 bags you won't regret it.  Matt ate this entire bag in one sitting.

I just ordered from Etsy for the first time. Is it weird I have never ordered anything on Etsy?  The site really overwhelms me, but I found this fabulous embroidered dress (shocker) for Frances.  It is straight from Mexico and all kinds of good.  The dresses are hand made and the detail is amazing.
Here is the buyer I ordered from,

Lastly, I am headed to Dallas next weekend.  I would welcome any suggestions of where to shop or eat.  I will have limited free time because of meetings but would love some fun Dallas recs.  I am staying at the Joule so anything close to there would be fabulous!
My favorite part of The Joule is the rooftop pool.  I can't wait!

Happy weekend.

Since you are staying downtown I would try Wild Salsa and The Woolworth. Ennjoy your trip to the Big D!

I lived in Dallas a couple years and I always loved salads from EatZi's. Great little market to grab and go and they have a decent wine selection so you can go back to eat/drink by that awesome pool! http://eatzis.com Safe travels and enjoy your trip!

The best restaurant in Dallas is Mi Cocina! There are several locations and it is the best Tex-Mex in the world. I used to live in Dallas and now dream about Mi Cocina.

The West Village is not too far from Downtown and great for tons of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

Northpark mall is fantastic and downtown has the flagship Neiman Marcus. If you venture over to Deep Ellum Angry Dog and Twisted Root are fantastic burger options with All Good Cafe perfect for southern favorites.

Knox-Henderson is great shopping and restaurants with the Katy Trail next door for a great walk option. Across the highway from Knox_Henderson are some great restaurants including The Porch which is one of my favorites.

Is the JCrew top uncomfortable? I've been eyeing it but the reviews are bad.

Hi Natalie! I'm from Dallas, and you've been given some fantastic suggestions already! I'll also add Highland Park Village... great upscale shopping, plus Patrizio's and Cafe Pacific are both landmark restaurants! If you drive through Highland Park you'll also see amazing "old money" homes! :)
