Thoughts For Thursday

I am so excited because my parents are in town this week for two quick days so I get a fun visit in before Christmas!  I absolutely love when they are in town.  I am off this morning to help my mom finish her Christmas shopping and I think we need to hit up the new Toy store, Magnifilous on King Street for Sterling.  Has anyone been?  I mean there is a carousel inside,  he will be in hog heaven.

I came across this on Pinterest and think it is a great gift rule for kids.  I am honestly not buying Sterling much this year.  He already has so much and is still too young to quite grasp it all.  I took him yesterday to help me pick out Toys for Toys for Tots and that was a bad idea.  He wanted to keep everything we picked out!  I wanted him to understand that there are kids that need those gifts more than him,  but he was clueless all "me, me, gimmie, gimmie."  Oh well I tried.

Its official I am addictive to these Dark Chocolate Pretzel Crisps.  I am pissed at my gals (Amy and Caycee) for telling me to buy these tasty treats.  I ate half a bag in one day.  It said the bag had 4 servings but I am pretty sure I turned it turned it into 1.  I have heard the white chocolate ones are even better but I am scared to buy them in fear I will demolish the whole bag.

Happy Endings is my new favorite show. I love the entire cast.  It is so ridiculously funny- or maybe my sense of humor is just weird. It comes on Tuesday nights at 9,  tune in if you don't already watch it.

I am really trying to grow my hair out. I Loved the long bob I cut in Februray but now I am ready to have super long hair again.  Any tips for getting it to grow fast?  This is what I want it to look like.

I have already wrapped most of my gifts for this year and bought tags but next year I plan to make these DIY glitter tags- how cute are they?  This could be a fun project to do with kids too, Sterling loves some glitter.

I tried out a new color combo last night for a dinner out with the rents: Royal Blue and Rust.  Kind of random but I kind of love it at the same time.

My mom and Sterling at dinner last night, melts my heart.  Nothing like seeing how much your parents love your kids.

xoxo

I used mane and tail shampoo, they sell it at walgreens, it was originally a horse shampoo but it makes human hair grow crazy fast

Prenatal vitamins are good for hair growth (always fun to freak out the husband too by leaving those on the counter)...I've heard good things about Biotin and Viviscal (which Reese Witherspoon uses).

Go to the store right now and buy yourself some Biotin. Get the largest mg amount they sell and I promise you that your hair will grow. I swear by it. Also makes your nails grow and get very strong.

Enjoy having your sweet parents in town!

I love the pretzel crisps, yum! And I have to say that Kristen C's hair always looks amazing. My hair grows super slow, so no ideas here. Newly following!

I have heard Biotin is awesome for helping your hair grow fast. I dont watch that tv show, but how cute is the girl's outfit in the middle? I am trying to stay away from sweets, but those pretzel chips call my name every time I see them. Must. Not. Get. Them. How precious is that pic of your mom and Sterling? So sweet!

Happy Endings has quickly become my favourite comedy. I need to watch the first season!
I just discovered Pretzel Crisps, but I didn't know there were chocolate-covered ones! Will be hunting for those this weekend....

I love the four things rule, I think I read about it on Design Mom, and I think is clever, if I could just stick to it!

I think her hair is extensions but I may be wrong. That's one way to get it to grow fast? Lol. I am growing mine out too. I swear that regular trims help. Otherwise my ends split and I have to cut them anyway!! I'm going to try that Main and Tail shampoo.

I love that quote about what to buy for kids. So true.

I'm scared to try those pretzels!!

That pic of Sterling and your mom is adorable. I am wanting the same thing for my hair..grow it back out! It was super long while dating my ex, but after that ended, I did the whole break-up chop of the hair. And Happy Endings is HILARIOUS! We love that show.

PS - I agree with everyone's suggestions about Biotin..just don't be alarmed when your pee is neon. :)

Hope you made it to Magnifilous (I think that's what it's called, I always butcher the name). It's amazing! I ran across some gummy vitamins at the drug store yesterday that have gelatin in them for hair and nail growth (as well as the other daily vitamins and nutrients usually included). I didn't buy them, but they come in a huge white bottle. Thanks for the mention in your post! I can always tell when you do, because my traffic goes through the roof!!!

I just started taking Biotin a few weeks and I have already noticed a difference. Luckily this year my two didn't ask for very much for Christmas. Of course I'm sure I will still overboard ;) Happens every year! Enjoy your time with your parents!!

Sterling is so lucky to have you as a mom to show him the importance of thinking of others! I bet he'll be a little more aware next year why you're buying toys for others, and that will only continue to grow.

I use biotin and have used Phyto from Sephora before which worked really well, but was pretty expensive.

Biotin is the way to go! You'll be able to tell a difference in no time, especially in your nails.

Biotin and prenatals work like a charm! And the white chocolate peppermint pretzels are ridiculous. I ate an entire bag in one day. So darn good.

Vitamins....I take the daily women's packets you can buy them at GNC. I swear my skin, hair and nails grow so fast. I feel good too. When I grow up I want to look just like Kristin ; ))) Your mom is gorgeous just like YOU.

I am obsessed with Happy Endings! I'm so glad other people are watching it, I felt like I was the only one and was terrified it was going to be cancelled!

As fair as growing out your hair, I was taking biotin for a while and it seemed to help!

I feel your angst when it comes to parenting too.
Don't be so hard on yourself or Sterling. He probably won't be emotionally ready for the 'Toys for Tots' idea until he is about 4 years old. At his current age, it is totally normal for everything to be 'mine, mine'!
