Slow Down

Today is my baby boy's 15 month birthday (yes, I still celebrate his monthly birthdays although I probably shouldn't after he hit the year mark)! I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I feel like this was just yesterday.

We no longer have a little baby, we now have a little man on our hands! Who is quite the walking machine and desperately trying to talk. My sweet boy has a mind of his own and does not like to be told no! He loves to hug anybody and everybody and will glady share his food or milk with you. He still melts my heart like no other.

I want to just freeze time and enjoy this sweet time period with my growing baby. I feel like in the blink of an eye he will be in college! I count my blessings everyday day that God gifted me with this perfect baby boy.

I awlays thought I would like my kids to be exactly 2 years apart and well that would be mean I would have to get pregnant this month. Not gonna happen! My hands are so full with this energyball I can't imagine being preggers on top of chasing him everyday! I definitely want more kids but I am going to relish in this time period where Sterling will be an only child for a bit longer!

Happy 15 Months Birthday Sterling.

I love you to the moon and back again!

A million times over!

You give new meaning to my life

and I am so proud to be your Mommy!

Miami Recap

What in the world is up with blogger today?? My post from yesterday is gone as is my Miami draft, Ugh I am so annoyed!

Thought I would share a few pictures and a little recap from my Miami Bachelorette Weekend!

Our trip started off with a bang as my sister and I got upgraded to First Class! This is a dream for someone who hates to fly. After a few free beverages I was enjoying the flight!

Thursday night we ate at Rosa Mexicana since it was Cinco De Mayo, and it was awesome. They have a location in NYC too, I highly recommend this place!

The food and the atmosphere were great. Their guacamole was out of this world! They make it fresh at your table, so tasty!

Friday we awoke to a downpour so we headed to the Delano for some lunch and drinks.

Because what else do you do in Miami when it rains but start drinking?

I loved the Delano, it was fabulous. Thanks to my girl Kindra's suggestion we ordered the Kobe Beef Sliders with Truffled fries- amazeballs. We also got the Seafood Cobb salad. Both were excellent!

Friday night we ate at Nuvo restaurant. A little off the beaten path but it was so good. We were able to sit outside which was so nice. Afterwards we headed back to the Delano for a private party.

My future sister-in law (on the left) and her sister. We love them and already feel like they are family!

At this point in the night things got hazy. Don't remember these pics. We ended up partying til 3. Notice the guy in the black shirt behind us, his name was Edwardo and he would not leave me alone. Creepy.

Saturday I woke up feeling horrible. Not even McDonald's made me feel better. I tried to lay out on the beach.

Bad idea, it was so hot that made me feel even more nauseous. So my sister and I made the treck and walked to Dash. I was so disappointed. The store had ugly clothes that looked cheap but were not cheap in price. They even had t-shirts and water bottles with the Kardashian's faces- I mean really? It was totally cheeseball.

After Dash My sis and I headed to the Ganesvoort. Anybody remember the reality show Miami Social? They were always hanging out on the rooftop there so I wanted to go. It did not disappoint. It was so fun and the people watching was priceless. Drunk people in thongs and speedos everywhere! The rooftop was pretty sweet with gorgeous views of the ocean!

This is me enjoying my new favorite drink the Chelsea (Vodka, Champagne, Cucumber and Fresh Mint).

I don't have a ton of pics from Saturday night but we ate at Eden and then all the other girls wanted to see the Ganesvoort so we headed back there. We didn't last nearly as late this night, Friday took it out of us!

It was such a fun trip and I was pretty proud I was able to keep up with girls 6 years younger than me! but I was so happy to get home and see this sweet face!

Do You Fancy a Monogram?

It is no secret I love to monogram things. Before Sterling was born I had so many of his outfits monogrammed, Matt said he was worried I was going to monogram him! There is nothing sweeter to me than a baby in a monogrammed outfit. I have monogrammed pillows in our guest bedroom and in our den as well. Ever since seeing Aerin Lauder's bed, pictured here:

I have been obsessed with her monogrammed bedding. It was bolder and more unique than any monogram I had seen before. I found out it was by Leontine Linens and now I am smitten. Their monograms are so beautiful. They are on the pricey side but one day I hope to have some Leontine Linens in my house (or at least some of their hand towels:)

The Leontine hand towels are equally fabulous! I love the sailboat one for Sterling's bathroom!

and they also have some gorgeous napkins and placemats that would be perfect for entertaining.

All items can be found online at Leontinelinens.com. I seriously want one of everything, it is too hard to choose just one, they are all so amazing! What is your favorite?
BTW, I finally got my Miami pics uploaded and will share them tomorrow!

Strawberry Bread

This bread is a staple in our house. We all love it and honestly we usually eat a loaf in a day. If you love strawberries you will absolutely be smitten with this delish bread. Enjoy!

STRAWBERRY BREAD

-2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
-1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
-1 TEASPOON SALT
-1 TABLESPOON GROUND CINNAMON
-2 CUPS SUGAR
-4 EGGS BEATEN
-1 1/4 CUP VEGETABLE OIL
-2 CUPS THAWED SLICED FROZEN STRAWBERRIES
-1 1/4 CUP PECAN PIECES

Combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, oil, strawberries and pecans. Stir until ingredients are just moistened.

Spoon batter into 2 well greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 to 70 minutes or until bread tests done. Cool in pans 5 minutes, them remove to wire rack to cool.

**If you don't want 2 loafs you can also make 4 mini loafs. Bake the mini-loafs at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes. This bread freezes wonderfully as well.**
