Scenes From Our Weekend

Hello Monday!  We had such a fun weekend, I just love this time of the year.  The weather is perfection.  Also thank you to everyone who left me NYC recs!  We fly out Wednesday morning and I am super excited to explore the city.

Friday after school we headed to Vintage Coffee Shop for an afternoon playdate.  We love this place.  Us moms can enjoy a glass of wine outside and the kids can play.  They also have delicious food!
Right when we got there Sterling lost a tooth! We put it on a cup and set it aside for the tooth fairy:)

All the kids piled up.

Delicious rose for the moms.  I spotted this rose at the ABC store on Daniel Island and it is only $11.

 What I wore:
I finally jumped on the casual sneaker bandwagon.  I figured I needed comfy shoes for walking around NYC.  I love this Joie pair.  I have not worn them all day but so far they feel comfortable and I love the blush color.  I ordered a 1/2 size up from what I normally wear.

Saturday morning I went to a fun event with some girlfriends and got a chemical peel.  I have never had a chemical peel before and I loved it.  This was a type where you leave and your skin immediately looks and feels brighter and fresher.  No peeling or redness and you can even put on make-up right after.  It was a latic acid peel and I can't wait to get another one.  My skin feels so smooth, scrapping the dead skin off made such a difference.  I snapped this picture afterwards and I feel like my skin looks so much better than it normally does.  Locals I had the procedure at Sheperd Integrative Dermatology.  Amy did my peel and she is amazing!

After that we headed to lunch at Obstinate Daughter.  It is one of my favorite restaurants but I don't get there frequently because it is so far from our house.

Everything on the menu is amazing but I especially love the beet salad.
We also shared the truffled farro, prosciutto apple salad, gnocchi and Pizza.

Saturday night we put up more spooky decorations and watched Toy Story 3.

I cozied up in this sweater.  It is a must have for Fall.  It is on sale right now for $35 and comes in 6 different colors.  I knew I would wear the black the most but I also love the oatmeal and dark green colors.  It runs TTS, I am wearing a small.

Sunday we went to church.
How sweet is Frances Moon's dress??  You can find it here at Smocking birds.  They have awesome prices for smocked dresses.
After church we met my friend Ashley and her kids for brunch at Ellis Creek Fish Camp.  It is my kid's favorite restaurant.  The views are spectacular too!
I tried out their Blonde Bloody Mary made with local heirloom tomatoes and it was so good!  It was a lighter take on a Bloody Mary and refreshing.
I also had the fried Grouper sandwich, very tasty.

I love this picture I snapped of Sterling, Frances and Effie.  They look like a little family:)

The weather was perfection and they had a guy playing music so all the kids danced and had the best time.
I am wearing my Mara Hoffman shirtdress I ordered from the Shopbop sale.  It is sold out there but I found it online HERE.  It also comes in a really pretty gray color as well.    I am wearing a size small.

A few Fall favorites I am loving lately.
The sunnies are only $12 and the scarf is only $25!  The flats are my favorite because they are so comfortable.  Nail color is emeraude and lip gloss color is milky blueberry/

Hope your week is off to a great start.

I was just in NYC with my son 2 weeks ago. Definitely walk the high line, it is extremely heavy but the 9/11 museum is worth a visit.

Hi! Question about the flats...do you prefer these over tieks? I am in need of comfy every day shoes (and 30 wks preggo), I owned a pair of tieks a couple of years ago that ended up being too tight, but back in the market for something similar. Thoughts?
