Life Lately.

First things first we got a new dog!  If you follow me on instagram you already knew this.  We really had no intentions of getting another dog so soon, but as fate would have it the day our sweet Nelson died one of Matt's clients stopped in who worked for the boxer rescue agency.  Matt put his name on the list thinking it would be awhile til a dog showed up we would want.  He got a call a few days later and now we are the proud owners of Rodney.  We think he is a boxer lab mix.  He is super cuddly and well behaved (minus the one incident where he ate our blinds).  Rodney is by no means a replacement for Nelson,  she is dearly missed everyday, but a nice distraction from our grief and a fun new addition to our family.  We all love him and are happy to be able to provide him with a safe and loving home.

Wednesday night I attended a cooking class at The Coastal Cupboard.  Before the class I met up with Caycee and Krystine at The Fish House for a cocktail.
The cooking class was so much fun and I am now officially obsessed with The Coastal Cupboard.  It is a dream store if you love to cook.  We had filets, roasted tomatoes, and pom frites plus a delicious rose. I bought some fun new cooking gadgets too.

Frances Moon wearing the sweetest Petit Peony Dress, that they were kind enough to send her.  It has mermaids all over it and is so adorable.

My mom was in town all week so I had to take her to Tavern and Table for my favorite kale salad.  I dream about this kale salad it is so good.
I am going to try and recreate it soon and share the recipe.

Thursday Taco night.  I was happy to use my new napkins from The Coastal Cupboard.
Pineapple bowl and star dish are from Open Door Shop
Sleep stalking again.  Frances used to sleep like this all the time when she was younger.  This pose melts my heart.

Rodney enjoyed his first Friday night at the Masons.
The cocktail below is a new favorite I created this weekend, I will share the recipe later this week!
Cuddles with Rodney.  He loves to lay his head on your chest.

Saturday I helped host an event at Gwynn's for the Laura Mercier Summer Make-up Collection.
Wearing a Kate Spade Romper.  Mine is from Gwynn's and as of Saturday they had 2 left, but it is also available online Here.

While I was at Gwynn's I pulled a few of my favorite Summer looks. I just love this bright orange tunic.  The straw Missoni bag was another favorite!

Headed to the Yacht Club for a fun Summer Party Saturday night.
Snuggle time with Daddy after the party.

Sunday morning we enjoyed whole wheat blueberry pancakes with raspberry syrup.

Frances is the proud owner of her own shopping cart- $7 thanks to TJMaxx. She loves this thing and pushes it every where.

Sunday night dinner.  The perfect light Summer meal.

Have a great week!

Rodney looks like such a sweetheart. I am sure it is nice for the kids to have a distraction from losing Nelson. He looks happy and I am glad he has found a great home. Frances Moon just gets more and more adorable! I love all of her outfits! What is the brightly colored one - I don't think you mentioned it? {Pic with Rodney and your cocktail}

Rodney is so cute!! That's so awesome y'all adopted a rescue. We have one and they're the best! The Coastal Cupboard sounds a lot like Southern Season. Still need to try Tavern and Table. Keep hearing so many good things!

Rodney is so cute!! Growing up, when we lost a dog, we usually found the best help for the grief was to bring in a new member of the family. Like you said, it's no replacement, but it especially helps the young kids. Loved seeing you at Coastal Cupboard last week - that event was so great! Hate we didn't get to chat more!! Also. I'm obsessed with that romper - looks amazing on you! Glad you had a fun weekend!! xo

Sterling is such a cute little guy and seems like he has a fun personality! I think he would get along well with my 7 year old nephew who has his own mermaid dolls :)
