Thoughts For Friday

Since I have been reading Grace Coddington's Memoir I was inspired to watch The September Issue (not sure why I never watched this before).  Anyways I rented it from my favorite place the library and really enjoyed it.  I loved seeing a sneak peek in Ana's life and loved that it featured Sienna Miller my favorite girl!!

I found the cutest neon drawstring dress at Target this week.   The dress is so comfortable, the perfect little weekend dress for running errands or lounging.  Check out my little man in the background, he likes trying on clothes too:)

Rembrandt was nice enough to send me there THERSday kit.  It was filled with so many great goodies.  My sister and I had a ball using them all and my mother in law loved the Cosmo mix! Might I add Sterling was obsessed with the band-aids.  What is with kids and band-aids?  Thank you Rembrandt for a fab kit!

I think I have narrowed down the paint for our living room to two colors.  Revere Pewter and Horizon both Benjamin Moore.  Ordering samples to try out and then deciding!

I think you all know I am a cookbook hoarder, I can never have enough.  I received this one for Christmas and have really enjoyed reading it.  I have earmarked a few recipes to make.  Alex used to write the food column for House Beautiful.  He is funny, gay, and likes Southern Cooking so of course I love him.  A great cookbook!

Has anyone tried this Revlon Lipstick/Lip gloss?  I keep hearing they are the best neutral lip color.  Think I am going to try them out, but would love to hear from someone who has actually used them.
The lipstick is called Soft Nude and the Lip gloss is called Peach Petal. It would be great to find a cheap version I love because right now I am hooked on Chanel.

Matt did not think this E-card was funny at all.  But I sure did- kind of true (sorry honey).

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
xoxo

I chose Revere Pewter when we remodeled our kitchen last year, and I love it. I'm actually thinking of putting it in my daughter's bedroom, too.

I loooove the Revlon lip butter. I just started using it a few weeks ago from reading it on House of Smiths and it's a great every day liptick/gloss.

Revere pewter...my fav! The tone is great. If it's too dark, have them mix it at 75%. And that dress-going to target this weekend!

Lots of great stuff here! I loved the September Issue - such a great glimpse into the process. Also - I am so excited to get the February copy with Rooney Mara on the cover!

Ulta has a great nude - it's #226. And their cosmetics are 3 for $9 or $11 or something super cheap. It's really moisturizing and not drying but stays on well!

love that target dress, it is the perfect house frock. ha! I've never heard of that movie, must check it out!

I have both the revlon lipstick and gloss and they are great! The lipstick is a little hard to wear alone (I'm a smidge darker skintone than you) but with the gloss on top it is the prettiest nude lip for cheap!

I have my whole downstairs Horizon and pretty much every person that comes over asks me for the color it is so pretty. If you want I would be happy to send you a pic of my family room with it. Also I use that lipstick every day its my go to fav but I will tell you as a blond myself the lipgloss is way too whitish and it washes you out skip the gloss but stock up on the lipstick bc they are hard to find I always buy two or three at a time best deal going!

I really enjoyed The September Issue too. It was cool to get a behind the scenes look at Vogue! Love that e-card...often times all hell is breaking loose around the house and I will look for my husband, who is sitting on the couch, playing on his phone, oblivious to the kids yelling and misbehaving. Ha. Men.

It was hard for me to find the Revlon lipstick..I only found the lip gloss. I wasn't the biggest fan. It really dried out my lips and didnt last very long for me.

Oh I am so sending that e-card to Cameron! Even though he isn't a dad yet, I could change the word to fiance/husband. Why do they get to come home and just plop on the couch while we're running around doing the dishes, laundry, cooking?? Deep breath. haha

Love the e-card! I looked for that lip gloss yesterday and I didn't see that color. I need to keep checking because from the comments it looks like it is out now. I love those Revlon Lip Glosses...I think they are hydrating. I have a couple other colors.

Love the dress. I think I definitely need to order it ASAP! Perfect for running weekend errands or dropping off kids at school in the mornings. And Sterling is just too cute for words! The Revere Pewter is so pretty! I am sharing that quote with Josh though like Matt, he probably won't think it's that funny either! Ha!! Have a great weekend!

I tried that lipstick and lipgloss after finding it on Pinterest and I am OBSESSED!!! I love them together and the lipstick is great by itself as well, the gloss is a little to nude to wear alone in my opinion. I would definitely recommend them and have done so to all my friends who are addicted to them now too!
