Thoughts For Friday

Hurray for the weekend, for realz.   Matt is going to the USC game tomorrow with his work buddies so I am flying solo for the whole day.  But good news is I have a fabulous wine date planned with some friends!  If the hubs gets to party all day I deserve some time out too!

I think I might be the last person in the world to start watching Revenge.  I tuned in Sunday night and loved it.  I didn't watch any of the first season- wish I had now.  But I am so excited to find a new show for Sunday nights.  I also tuned into to 666 Park Ave but it was way to scary/creepy for me.  Made me sad because I really liked the cast of actors but probably won't tune again.

Alot of you have asked me about the Apple Cider Vinegar and how it is working.  I am still drinking it daily.  I usually drink it twice a day mixed with 6-8oz of water.  I always seem to forget the evening dose (probably because I am preoccupied with my wine).  I have been drinking it for 2 weeks now.  I have lost 3lbs.  I am not attributing this all to the vinegar but I do think it has helped.  My weight was not budging prior to the apple cider so I have to believe it helped some.  I drink it prior to meals which I think suppresses my appetite some.  I think it has also helped with bloating issues as well. Plus it makes me drink more water which is always a good thing.

In the last week I have also cut out major snacking (ie chips and crackers) so that could be it too.  Either way I am sticking with the apple cider vinegar even if it is only once or twice a day.  I will report back in two more weeks when it has been a month.

I hit up Target this week hoping to find this beauty in store so I could try her on. Of course there was not one at my Target store.  Has anyone bought this?  How does the sizing run?  I am figuring for $27 this needs to be added to my closet!   I do already own two leopard dresses- does it make me a leopard hoarder to own three?  They have all sizes online if your store is out!

I think I may be the only person who does not like Mums for fall.   They are freaking everywhere and it kind of annoys me.   Sterling and I hit up our favorite local nursery here in town called Hyams to get a few fall plants yesterday.   I opted for Pansies and Spikes for my front porch pots.  My mom assures me pansies are easy to care for.  I need easy low maintenance plants or I will kill them!

My little garden helper.  He loves looking at the plants.  Look at all the Mums in the background, they are everywhere!!

.In keeping with my getting ready for Fall week, I think I am going to make these Pumpkin Spice Rice Krispy Treats.  How good do they look?  Not part of my diet but I don't diet on the weekends.

Can we talk about how gorgeous Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is and how sick her body is?  I wish I looked like that when I worked out!

It does make me stand by the fact that I prefer all black workout clothes.  Look Gwennie does too.

So I have a mile long list of projects around my house I want to get done and have I tackled one thing yet?  Big Negative.  This quote sums it up.

For all my fellow Mamas.  This brought a tear to my eye, so true.

And just because I couldn't resist- my man is still loving his Spidey Costume.  That smile melts my heart.  You better believe I am off to buy him like 5 more costumes they make him so happy!

Cheers to the Freaking Weekend.
xoxo

I may have to try this apple cider vinegar trick...is it really as nasty-tasting as I've heard? Love the quotes you chose :)
Have fun flying solo - maybe Sterling would love a playpark day or even a trip to the library. My oldest loves the library. xoxo www.styleoyster.blogspot.com

What a sweet and fun post!! I found the leopard dress but had to have customer service run a size check for me at nearby stores... I got a small but could have tried on an XS. It's on the long side so falls to my knee (I'm 5'5) and its a little loose around the shoulders...but overall the look is really classy considering where's it's from- get! They also have a shell for layering which you might like.
I am going to try that RKT recipe.. Flavorful but lighter than cake! your pansies should do great.. They like a lot of fertilizer to make them fill out.
Have a great weekend! XO

Ok. Fill me in on this apple cider vinegar sitch. I think I need it. Fatty over here. I really need that dress as well. Totally. I hope you have a fabulous weekend gorgeous girl!

I bought the dress! Was looking for a small (I'm 5'5", slight build) and am a solid size small...however, all they had was XS so I tried it on. Glad I did - it was perfect! I would definitely recommend maybe trying down a size. Love the pics of your little guy in his costume. Mine have always loved their costumes. Hint: After Halloween, go to Toys R Us or costume store and snatch up the little costumes he might like. My kids always liked that even better than Halloween! Excellent addition to a dress up box, and you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Hmmm, I need that apple cider vinegar. I jumped on the leopard dress train and am regretting not getting the XS!

Thought I'd let you know from someone else who is 5'10" that I bought this dress in a small in the store (without trying it on until I got home). I'm going to ditch the fabric sash and use my own black patent leather belt to cinch my waist. It its nice length on me, but a tad short in the sleeves. Regardless, given the length, you can shorten it a little with a belt and it can be work appropriate (aka- finger-tip length!) Hope this helps!

I love apple cider vinegar... it's my go to for salad dressing. I honestly could drink it daily, but do not currently. I think I will start! Thank you for introducing me to that dress, for $27 it needs to be in my closet too :) Have a great weekend.

Love Revenge (catch up on hulu!) I watched 666 too and too creepy and close to home. I don't think it will last.

I found the dress in the store, but not my size. I'm not going to order though bc I doubt i'd really ever wear it. And price has no bearings in my closet when I'm getting dressed. I haven't seen revenge yet either but the promos always look so good! Might need to try this apple cider thing. And love love love that quote. I think I pinned it too.

Okay so I barely slept after that show, it was so freaky. And my Target didn't have the dress either. Was so bummed. Also, all of our flowers were just delivered for our porch planters :)

Good for you doing the apple cider vinegar! I cant swallow that stuff...must try again if you are seeing some changes. LORD knows I need to!
Your not alone in the I hate Mums club, they bloom once then look terrible. I am all about Pansies...they will last you till Spring! Just don't over water, I have already killed one set...lesson learned. : )

Enjoy your weekend!

Haha that's so true about pinterest. I totally agree that all black is the way to go when working out.

I got the dress too! It runs pretty true to size, if not on the larger side. Super duper cute, and not too short. I keep thinking of all the different ways I can wear it. I am so glad that I spotted it and grabbed it just in time!

Dress is TTS or maybe slightly on the large side. It is so fab in person. Way better than that pic.

The target leopard dress is so cute! You'll love it! I ordered online because my target was out of my size.

I watch a lot of tv on Hulu during my late nights at work and I keep telling myself I need to start watching Revenge. Maybe tonight will be the night I start. Love seeing Sterling in his Spiderman costume. :)

My friends and I love Revenge!! My one friend just discovered that the character, Ashley on the show (she's the Graysons' gorgeous, British publicist) has her own fashion blog: http://ashley-ringmybell.blogspot.com/

Worth checking out and she sometimes has blog sales... If only I were as tiny as she is!

Want to try this vinegar water you're doing.

Have a great weekend!!

Ughh. That mama quote hit me. Wow. Sitting here in my all black work out gear and what I am thinking is that you do look that good when you work out. How could you not. Revenge is AMAZING. We started watching last season and went back and watched them all. LOVE. Glad you are finally on board! And Emily wears awesome clothes throughout it . . . well she did last season when she was engaged ;)

Have you seen Scandal? OMG that show is off the chain, but you need to watch the last season first.

I got a leopard shift dress last month, Love it! Have a good weekend

I was late to jump on the Revenge bandwagon, but my husband and I got hooked after the first episode. We watched them on iTunes. If you liked last week's episode, you need to start from the beginning because so much has happened already. It is soo good!

Totally copied you and did "a day in my life post". Thanks for the idea! :-)

Great Friday Post! Loving the dress .it would look cute with tights and boots as well. I also can't wait for Sunday to watch Revenge. I swear I don't breathe the entire episode due to all the suspense.
I am now on my way to check out the beauty post!
Bottoms up to the weekend!-Heidi

I love Revenge too (I only recently discovered it)! If you want to watch from the beginning, Hulu Plus has the whole first season (Netflix probably has it too). That's how I watched it. :)

I tried on the dress at my store and I think it runs big. I think you will love it since it is basically a blouse in dress form, and we know how you feel about blouses! I felt too dressed up in it since I am more of a t-shirt gal myself, but you should definitely get it! And yes, buy Sterling more costumes. They are the most used "toys" i our house and I have 4 boys!

I tried the apple cider in my water and I thought it was disgusting...maybe there is a better kind. I couldn't bring myself to drink it every day! haha And I have that Target dress and its fab, runs true to size!

Isn't Revenge the most addicting show? It's really the best...followed by Homeland! I saw that leopard dress at Tarjay last week and I know it will look amazing on you...if only I was a little taller. Spiderman is such a cutie! That e-card is incredible and so relatable...I am stealing it!
