Banana Who?

I keep coming across images of Banana Republic's Spring 2011 Line in all my fashion magazines. First InStyle featured a maxi dress and then I noticed a blurb in Bazaar too. I was pleasantly surprised. I am usually not a huge Banana Republic fan. I have bought some shoes and jewelry there but for the most part their clothes are just not my style and never really fit me right.

Their new Spring line has me rethinking things. It is feminine and slightly edgy. I am digging the florals and 70's vibe. I totally agree with Bazaar's statement, "Banana Republic's new collection of flowerly summer frocks gives new meaning to the term Garden Party."

The best part is the prices only range from $70 to $300. The blue floral Maxi dress, shown in the third picture (online now Here) is only $140 and I consider that a real steal for a fabulous maxi dress. I for one am thinking about giving Banana Republic another try, starting with one of the maxi dresses. What are your thoughts? Here are a few pics from the BR Runway.

Looking good for sure! Thx for the peek at what is to come. I used to shop there for business attire back when i was working. I still pop in but have rarely found anything that is "fun" enough.

I gave up on banana a few years back, I just couldn't stand to see and more khakis and t shirts (ick) but now I might just have to rethink my decision. I LOVE the floral maxi.

Thanks for the tip my uber fashion friend:)

I used to love BR but the past couple of years I just have not been impressed by their clothes. My opinion has officially been changed! I love all three of the maxi dresses!

This makes me happy. I do not shop there often, but I have a banana card so my smile is huge right now! lol
But seriously I'm obsessed with long dresses so this is not good for my budget!

Loving the dresses! I used to shop at BR all the time. The BR store that we have where I live is the best one I have been in. For some reason they always get things that the other BR stores dont. Strange. But I am not complaining because what they get is usually better! Although for the past year or two I have not been impressed with anything BR has. I love these dresses though! This is killing me to not be able to shop for new spring/summer clothes! I need maternity clothes instead! I wonder if I order the maxi dress a size up, I can wear it after baby is born? Now you have given me something to think about!!

I saw the maxi dresses too in InStyle! I love them. I still shop at BR for pants. They come in tall/long and skinny styles. When you need a 36 inch inseam... :-)

I would have never guessed that those dresses are Banana Republic. I never seem to have luck at BR but I would be willing to give it another shot for those pretty little things!
