Get ready to have your minds blown. This dish is beyond amazing and beyond easy. Matt and I were gobbling it up. The flavors in the beef paired with the creamy white rice and fresh green onions is so incredible. The meat is spicy sweet and almost gets sort of caramelized from the brown sugar- divine I tell you! Plus you don't need many ingredients so it is a cheap meal to cook! This is going to be on our weekly meal rotation for sure. My friend Erin had the genius idea to add some steamed broccoli in next time, so if you want an extra veggie add that in!
Enjoy!

This is my absolute favorite pinned recipe. I change it up depending whatever I have but the green onions totally make this dish in my opinion!

Yes yes yes!!!! You know the Hewitts all love them some beef! And I actually think this is easy enough for me to pull off ;)
This looks amazing!!! By ground beef, do you mean like hamburger meat?
Yum! I love when you post "man friendly" meals- that means I can actually try them! If it doesn't have meat in it, my husband won't even consider it a real meal!
This sounds amazing!!!!!! I'm making this soon!
I make this too. Great photos. Sometimes I put it in a tortilla with pickled radishes with the leftovers!
Seriously...all your dinners sound so delicious! When you are in town next week I think I need you to come over and we can have a cooking class! haha
I cannot wait to try this!
I am def making this. I think I even have all of the ingredients here, except the ginger. Will def add some broccoli, and maybe swap out the white rice for brown. Cant wait to try it!
Pinning this right now! I'm always looking for simple dishes that my husband will enjoy too. Thanks for sharing. xx

Made this for dinner tonight and loved it! My husband and I both devoured it…my kids, on the other hand, would not eat it. They are 2 and 4…hoping it is just a phase. Oh well…more for us. Does your son like it?
My husband and I went to South Korea last September and since then we scour the city (Houston) for Korean food and this completely hit the spot last night!! There are no left overs...whoopsie!
My husband is the cook in our house and I give him one of your recipes at least once a week. It's hilarious to walk into the kitchen and see DB&DD open on his iPad while he cooks. Even though I know it's on the recipe page, my first reaction is that he's reading your blog and brushing up on the latest fashions, sales, styles and what not. :)
Definitely trying this recipe tomorrow night. All the ones we have tried have been SO GOOD.
Just made this for my beef loving stepdaughter (her vegetarian dad is out of town and it's just us here). This shiznit is GOOD!!! Your 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies are in the oven now. Us stepmoms are soooooo mean, right :-)
Made this tonight and added broccoli and it was amazing!!!
Just made this and it was a hit..great reciepe, thanks for sharing
Hi! I'm an American living in Japan and beef gulgogi is very popular here! My husband travels to Korea for work a lot and it has seriously become a household fav! Here they use regular white onion and shredded beef (like on a Philly cheesesteak) but I love your version, so easy! Never thought to add some more greens, yum!
Saw this on B Loved Boston- totally going to make it next week. Yum!
This is one of our favorite meals! Thanks for sharing! xo
We serve this weekly with ground turkey instead of ground beef. I reduce the brown sugar amount and sub Bragg's amino acid for the soy sauce. Our teenagers love it! Thank you!
